sVegas22x
2017 has been chalking up to be an awesome year for new music. So down for new QOTSA! Edited April 7, 2017 by sVegas22x
cobannaboc
My body is ready for some QOTSA. This means new songs at OSL this August!
lethalenforcer
If they follow the Clockwork template we'll get a new song this month and then the album in June.
mcpherson123
I really hope this album slays. I want some thick, fuzzy C standard riffs and some wild grooves and skin shredding from Theodore. I'm just scared its not going to be that at all. Like not even one track.
allenh
Put me down for all the variants of this, where do I sign? Definitely moved to the top of my wants list. Sad Heart

YouTwo
This thread is making me realize that I haven't listened to Like Clockwork in a while and I don't own it on vinyl. Perhaps I should remedy both of those.

Ditto, along with my OG Lullabies. Both are gorgeous. I wound up triple-dipping on the three different covers for LC (red deluxe, blue, and black). Hope the new LP gets some nice treatment. Edit: I see that price is Collector's Choice who has a habit of putting stuff up under the wrong variant. Ya, as is the case with a lot of the semi-major labels nowadays, they spread themselves too thin on variants, thus leaving the best package out there unsold and eventually in the bargain bin. Definitely let me know! I tried to email them and ask but it says Collectors-Choice has their contact form available. I remember I ordered form them one time and it was supposed to be a clear variant but it was a black version. They have something down in their fine print that says they can't gaurantee the color variant because it uses the same UPC (but somehow it always ends up with the standard edition under the color version listing, never the other way around). nick69
Mind-blowing news: They're releasing a new single sometime before July 13th. In other (boring) news. No features this time. http://www.metalinjection.net/upcoming-releases/queens-of-the-stone-age-to-drop-a-new-song-before-july-13-new-album-has-no-cameos
lethalenforcer
I read the "no cameo" news over the weekend - pretty surprising. Going to rock regardless.

Good I'm glad. I think a pure QOTSA was missing in like clockwork. I feel like it wasn't a real QOTSA album with all those cameos...
mcpherson123
I'm glad there will be no cameos. That most likely means they just focused on a being a solid unit as a band and hopefully began the writing process by just going in and jamming out some ideas and it will hopefully be less contrived than last time. Also, that let's me assume that Jon must have drummed the whole album and if he doesn't get a moment to tear that shit apart, I'll know that "over-songwriting" got in the way.
