Ridge
I started getting into collecting music around Christmas time, when I received a cheap record player. It does the job, but the sound is tinny and empty, and I was looking for an upgrade. My birthday is coming up soon and i was thinking about asking for a record player. I've come down to these two systems: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Teac-MC-D800-turntable-bluetooth-streaming-Cherry/dp/B014HG9VC0/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 AND https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MT8IHYD?psc=1 It would be great if you could share you opinion on these systems as I do intend to start collecting CDs soon, too. This will be a permanent buy and I don't want to replace them in the near future. I am looking for a good quality of sound more than anything, not anything tinny. Thanks! Freki
1) Don't buy either of those 2) Read the beginner's guide at the top of the forum
slinch
Yeah, either one of those will just be replacing one turdbox with a different turdbox. If you really like records you should do yourself a favour and buy something you'll actually enjoy. For example: http://www.analogueseduction.net/rega-turntables/RRP10[2].html?currency=1 Of course if your current all-in-one system is the only thing you have to listen to any music format, then just buying this table won't be enough. But trust me, either save up for a complete setup (doable in the £500 range), buy this and save up for the rest, or go the vintage route. If you want any kind of joy with your records (or any music for that matter), there really aren't any shortcuts.
