Anything inside the paper inner can puncture a side at any time, even the edge of your inner sleeve that is put in the printed inner. It's not a good idea... Also, a regular insert or printed inner will NOT cause ring wear. I've been collecting for almost 25 years and also work at a record pressing plant. I'll believe me over you. I can back up my claims with my knowledge and experience. Also, I see you're in South Florida...PM me, I'd love to invite you out to SunPress Vinyl for a tour, which is the only pressing plant in South Florida. That's pretty cool actually I'll get at you later. As for the printed inners I just can't wrap my head around how it's detrimental unless you want everything archival quality. If i open it and there aren't splits I can guarantee there will never be a split for the rest of the time I own it... not sure who doesn't carefully place their records back in the sleeve. I have quite a few records where the sleeve doesn't hold both the printed inner and the record side by side which is what started me just putting one inside the other. timsimmons
If I get a LP with a printed inner, regardless of the thickness, I always use another inner sleeve and the record never goes in the printed inner again making it an insert or something. I hate when those things rip. mertzrock

faaip de oiad
I use the Japanese Round bottom 0.028mm inside the inner sleeves. Outside I use the resealable. Don't care if it's an "extra step". Love the clarity and protection.
