Shitty Rambo
I've bought like 2 records this entire year. Vinyl prices suck. Happy anniversary.

WAXXX
the current vinyl bubble presents a great opportunity to liquidate non-essential portions of your portfolio. i upgrade the majority of titles to a strong sell. Tommy

All jokes aside, I've been thinking about selling off certain variants and replacing them with $12 standard black copies from Amazon, while pocketing $50+ per record. The bubble is insane. parkinglot
I've only been here for a little over four years. I can't tell if it has gotten a lot shittier, or if I'm just not an annoying 19 year old anymore. Probably both. Tommy

On a shittier note, theres some vendor here in town who lists his crap real high on discogs and buys them with another account of his to drive up the market value. Wish i knew his profile but no clue. People like that are why the state of this hobby can be an ultimate bummer at times.

I just noticed that I have some variants that are like $50-100 on discogs, but black copies are cheap, so I thought about making a buck if I can. I still make money, and the band still sells another copy of their record. Mainly Hot Topic variants and shit, so that crowd can get fucked anyway. Why would you pay the Discogs' fees just to "drive up the market value"?? Then there's the risk of sitting on your new highly valued record for an undetermined amount of time until someone buys it. People like that are idiots. WAXXX and throughbeingcruel
dynamitekid
I can't believe its been 11 years. Agreed about vinyl pricing. I've definitely bought less since prices have gone up but that has also helped me buy things I actually want instead of buying things I only kinda want
danny
Not to mention how much worse some records are being pressed. Rushing the presses and not even doing QC.
somethingvinyl
Started buying records in 1998. I only buy stuff from yard sales and thrift stores to resell now. Occasionally get and trade a bunch of cheap records for a pricey record I've always wanted.

faaip de oiad
Wish I knew this community was around 11 years ago, I didn't think that many people liked vinyl as much as I did. Course I had just gotten my first computer just 3 years prior and was just understanding the internet...
