Removing stickers on covers

Does anyone have any good tips for removing stickers off of record covers without damaging them?

You know: price tags, "nice price", " also available on cassette", " contains the songs:" those kind of stickers.

Some of the (newer)smaller price tags you can just (carefully)peel off, I mean the older price tags and big stickers. I buy a lot of records in thrift shops and such.

thanks....

i hate stores that put prices right on the covers.

Unfortunately the alternative is putting the price on the plastic sleeve, but then people could just swap the plastic sleeve of a more valuable record with the sleeve of a cheap record. So if they put it on the plastic outer sleeve they need to seal it somehow, which means you can't check the color of the vinyl (or even the condition). So basically, as collectors, we're stuck between a rock and a hard place.
