adamlikesmusic
Ok, I am in need of new sleeves, particularly resealable ones. My question is what is the difference between Polypropylene and Polyethylene. And while I'm at it, are Mylar the crackly ones? (Sort of like mylar balloons) I have obtained 3 different kinds through trading, but have no idea which is which. Sorry for the stupid question. jhulud
I have no idea what the difference in plastics is either... I always get mine from bagsunlimited...
scottheisel
I just buy mine from a local store, no idea what kind they are. They're sort of flimsy, but they do the job. However, Flood, what kind of bag do you use? You sent me that NOFX 7" wrapped up in one, and it is super durable and sturdy -- I'd love to buy more of those. Me too, but which do you buy? They offer all 3 that I mentioned. (I'm guessing not mylar, since it's like 25 for $20.)
patron
I bought 100 sleeves for $12 from a store and they do me just fine! But I do really hate the releasable ones, whenever I buy an LP with them, I just switch them for a normal one.

I got a stack of awesome sleeves online a while back and love them. I'll post a link of them when I get home. I have it bookmarked on my computer. jhulud
The ones I get are product code SLPS3R. They're 3 mils thick. Dimensions are: 12 5/8 x 12 5/8 and with resealable flap.
adamlikesmusic
Thanks jhulud. And I like the resealable just because dust seems to accumulate at my house a lot faster then it should. I also would like to keep pet hair out of my record collection.

dietrootbeer
i really dont like the sealable sleeves.. if its a record thats just going to get filed away and never taken out then its but but theyre such a hassle otherwise.. plus its seems like they always tear along the sides when im putting the records back.. maybe the ones i have are just cheap. record sleeves are the best
adamlikesmusic
Well I've got decent collections of a few bands, containing many presses of the same record. I obviously collect those, and have no desire to play them. I like my collection free of dust+hair.
