cartridge replacement

Recommended Posts

I went to put a record on last night and noticed my needle was fucked, I suppose its best to replace the entire cartridge, but does anyone know if most cartridges are universal. I have a really old player that I got from a guy I work with, it doesnt sound good at all. Im saving now for a way better set up, but I dont wanna be out of commission with listening materials until I save up another 500 bucks or so. Here is what I use now, if anyone can point me in the right direction on a cartridge replacement that would be great!

There's no guarantee, but that's definitely the style you need. Pull the needle or cartridge off of yours first. That listing has a good enough picture that you may be able to tell if it'll work.

There's enough reference material out there about needles/cartridges that if you take yours off, you should be able to google the brand/numbers and find a match before buying needles based on guesswork.

If you are unsuccessful, PM me. My uncle owned a stereo shop for 30+ years and probably has mountains of those cartridges sitting around.
