dim
I posted the topic about my turntable speed and if I can't fix it by the end of the week I'm going to buy a new turntable. I checked out amazon and found this to be the best reviewed in my price range. http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT-PL120-Professional-Direct-Drive-Turntable/dp/B00012EYNG/ref=sr_1_18/002-9885821-8567252?ie=UTF8&s=audio-video&qid=1187620244&sr=1-18 I'm not thrilled with it being direct drive (but I don't mind) and I've been spoiled by a fully automatic table which this is not. I really like the pitch control and tone arm adjust-ability. I'm concerned with the cartridge it comes with though. Any insight or other table recommendations would be great, I'm trying to keep it below $250.
ps
I was actually going to buy this exact model. I think that everything is fully adjustable, and it has a built-in preamp. It's more of a dj style table, but all the reviews I've read it seems people really like it. As for the cart, I think its a middle of the road AT... fairly easily upgraded I'm guessing. The only reason I did not buy this is because I found a Music Hall MMF-1 for a few $$ more. Good luck and if you buy it let me know how it sounds.
