High Fidelity, more of a dramady, but it's about record collecting ;D

here's s'more of my favs:

Kids In The Hall: Brain Candy.

Anchorman

Walk Hard

Airplane

Cannibal: The Musical

Snatch

The Army of Darkness

The Monty Python Trilogy (holy grail, life of brian, meaning of life)

The Kevin Smith Trilogy (clerks, mallrats, chasing amy)

i guess Dogma should fit in there too.

theres just too many. comedy is one of my favorite forms of entertainment.

my favorites are the boat the rocked (pirate radio in the us), shaun of the dead, hot fuzz, old school, wayne's world and in bruges (black comedy), among a shitload of others

By that I know you mean a "dark" comedy but you must realize it's hilarious to the rest of us to see that because in the States "black comedy" means a VASTLY different thing.

i see two people that have mentioned BASEketball...

Cannibal: The Musical (one from my list) was the student film from these guys (trey parker, and matt stone, they went on to make South Park) that Troma released in the early 90s.

they also made another great one before BASEketball called Orgazmo about a mormon that becomes a porn star.

both Cannibal and Orgazmo are, IMO better than BASEketball, and contain most of the same cast, but all 3 really are brilliant in their own way.

also Team America: World Police, another trey and matt flick, made with puppets.

what do you mean in the states? there isn't anything vastly different. he was correct in his meaning. black comedy and dark comedy in regards to film are the same. no matter where you are. like calling a cop a policeman. there isn't really any other use of the word describing this form of film genre in cinema.
