i saw that, but i'm wondering if that song will come in the soundtrack release they announced.

edit: fuck it, ordered the 12". don't wanna miss it.

Yah I know, I'm torn too. I'm not super into the 1 track 6 times on a 12 inch stuff. But, I'm considering it. If it's still up when something else comes up I'll grab one too. Surprised at the 15 dollar price tag on a single.

Yeah not a fan of that either, but I had some extra money in my PayPal account to kinda offset it. I'm assuming the other versions are pretty different--I listened to the 8-track version (which isn't on the 12") and it was cool.

I just want to say, I have seen some crazy heat for these first 4 episodes. I love it though, I love how nuts and fucking insane it's been right out the door. And I for one and wholly excited Lynch and Frost just went balls to the wall on grasping that fucking supernatural element and throwing it right in our faces. It was always there, especially in season 2, but never this outright. I really can't wait to watch all of this unfold.

Haven't watched 3 or 4 yet either. It's been tough avoiding spoilers. But man, I must have been smiling for two hours straight when watching the premiere. Like many people, I was thinking, Wow, I can't believe this is real and Wow, I can't believe this is so good.

How is this upcoming weekend going to work? Will it be Episode 5 or will they be showing 3 and 4 on Showtime?

3 and 4 are airing. Episode 5 airs June 4th.

All caught up now.

I'm still loving it.  Although so far I'd say the first 2 episodes have been better than 3 and 4.  Episode 4 had so many good people in it though too so that was awesome.

Also, as hilarious as "mistaken identity Dale" is, I really hope he isn't like that for half of the season.

the woman in the red dress is ronette pulaski...

Yep.

Spoiler

It was the eyes that gave it away.

Spoiler

Me and my brother were talking about Dale "the king of jackpots" and we couldn't decide whether or not he has PTSD from his 25 years in the lodge or whether he actually still thinks he's in the lodge. The way he is acting draws a parallel to the normal behaviour he adopts in the lodge where he only really reacts to what others say and things that happen like a silent observer.

I think he will slowly come back to himself. Shame because  all the "HeellllllloooooooooOOOOOOOOOOooooo"s were too funny. Really lucked out escaping the lodge scoring big at the casino and hijacking the life of a man who was married to Naomi Watts.

I also very much enjoyed the interview with Dopple-Coop, Gordon and Albert. Tense stuff.

Also did anyone else spot the Bonsai tree on the coffee table next to the viewing couch in NY? Maybe a Windom Earle easter egg or just a coincidence.

Spoiler

The interview scene between Dopple-Coop, Gordon, and Albert was INCREDIBLE. Albert and Gordon's conversation following was also very intense. I think that was the highlight for me so far.

Spoiler

I definitely popped when I saw Hawk, Andy, Lucy, Shelley, Bobby, and even James for the first time. It's nice to see that they're still carrying all of their humor, subtle or not. I enjoyed that episode 4 focused mostly on the characters from the original run. Only complaint so far, really, is that Michael Cera is involved. He's easily one of my least favorite actors, and I never thought a guy could make a leather jacket and motorcycle look so lame. Cera has the charisma of a thumb. Though, I guess he fits given how dim Lucy and Andy are. You kind of believe that Cera is their son.

I've really enjoyed the Return so far. I love how it's different from the original series but has managed to carry a lot of the symbolism. Can't wait for episode 5.

Heads up: Along with the Return's vinyl soundtrack and score listings up on Amazon, there is a listing for The Final Dossier, a book similar to The Secret History of Twin Peaks. Will probably be a must-read. Releases October 31st.

Yep, can't wait. The Secret History was excellent, so I am really excited for this one!

Watched five and still loving it.

Spoiler

Dopplecoop's phone call and solitary prison time was brilliant and some serious chuckles were had with Dougie, Andy & Hawk and Jacoby. I can't believe I hadn't made the connection that the decapitated body in episode 1/2 was Major Briggs. Also that scum bag in the road house at the end was giving off major league Frank Booth blue velvet vibes which could make for some promising material down the line. The only bit that fell flat was the domestic between Truman and his wife but still very excited for more.

The Tom Sizemore cameo was great.

Spoiler

The body might NOT actually belong to Briggs. It was mentioned by Winston Zeddmore and his employee that the missing (presumed dead) Major Briggs's fingerprints have shown up at 16 crime scenes in 25 years. I'm thinking their might have been some doppelBriggs or something more nefarious. I think DoppelCoop killed Briggs.

Maybe a dopplebriggs but I'm thinking it's actually Garland at the moment. Dopplecoop is obviously prime suspect number 1.

Spoiler

We'll see. The actor is dead, so I don't know if we'll see anymore of his face. Unless they do more Floating Head Space Briggs. Which, I am okay with.

Spoiler

I don't know if we'll revisit the purple dimension/place between two worlds again at all now real Coop is free but it's a possibility, which is why this is still one of my favourite shows because there's no way to tell what is coming next.

Spoiler

Not sure if you caught it in the credits, but that creepy Frank Booth-esque dude is named Richard Horne. He does have a fair resemblance to Jerry -- but I'm going to guess the cigarettes may be a nod to him being Audrey's son. Really curious how that's going to play out.

Also, in the first episode, The Giant or whoever he is now (since he was credited as "??????") told Cooper to "remember Richard and Linda".

Finally watched episodes 1-4 (so I skipped reading any posts on this page made after June 4). I fucking love it...like low-key this could end up being the best Lynch if he maintains this quality through all 18 episodes. It's most likely the last film project he'll ever do, so I'm excited.

ALTHOUGH, anyone hating on the Michael Cera scene is dead fucking wrong. That scene is seriously one of the funniest things I've ever watched. My girlfriend and I had to pause it twice because we were like scream laughing and couldn't breathe. Like holy shit, it was perfect and hysterical.

It really was hilarious.

I also noticed the specific way a few scenes were filmed. That was one of them, and the other was the Gordon/Denise scene. The two are not in the same room, you can almost tell they were filmed at a different time, and spliced together to make it seem like it was. The Truman/Wally scene felt the same as well. I could be wrong.

It wasn't as obvious and distracting as Arrested Development season 4. That was really bad...none of those fuckers were ever in the same room. Like, I get that scheduling is hard and sometimes impossible...but still.

I'm not a big Cera fan. I don't hate him, but I don't feel I need to ever defend him. Except this scene/character because he was perfect.
