The notes on this new release say that this is Sam Beam’s most accomplished work. That is one tall order as Sam has put together one hell of a catalog. There really aren’t any bands that can do what Iron and Wine do. As with all new Subpop titles, this album will contain a free download of the entire album.

It's ok, I got a promo at the record store I work at this past weekend as well.

I prefer the more stripped down stuff, this one has a bit more instrumentation to it.

The lyrics sheet is almost like a poster if you flip it around. It's pretty big.

not sure yet, I will have the records in early next week. If I get posters, I always send them out with the records.

it's an interesting album, that's for sure. he's definitely moved much further towards the full-band sound; i think calexico really made an impression on him.

i'm not into it so far; i liked the middle period where it was him, guitars, and unbelievable melodies. the instrumentation on this one seems to meld together a bit, instruments aren't as clear and distinct as they are on the last couple releases. it's a little muddy for my tastes, and a little busy.
