Dude...

First pressing > Some stupid variation of a repress 10 years later.

just for fights sake, fatwreck disagrees with you

lagwagon duhh repress > orginal pressing

nofx longest line repress > orginal pressing

propan.........

etc.

etc.

Thats not a fair comparison. You're talking about records that have always been readily available that have recently be repressed. I'm talking about a record that has been OOP for years (the Some Records release of No Division).

heh which is why i said "for fights sake"

i don't completely disagree with you

in this case

a 1 of 3000 orginal pressing(black) vs. 1 of 22 re-pressing(blue)

yea i'd take the blue over the black myself but thats just me

Well, that 3000 number was arbitrarily chosen by the other guy in this thread and is not necessarily accurate. The real number is probably around 1000.

Also, most Hot Water Music collectors agree that they'd much rather have the original press of these records than the No Idea reissues that came out earlier this year.

In this case, its a matter of choosing the original pressing over a limited variant in a reissue.

oh i completely agree a HWM fan boy would much rather want 1/3000 or 1/1000 orginal vs. repress any day...

but to be honest that fan boy will probally just purchase both and claim that both are equally amazing...
