habbazoot
Australian grindcore band Blood Duster combat internet piracy by scratching "KVLT" into the master copy of their new album. http://www.tonedeaf.com.au/news/local-news/217707/melbourne-band-sabotage-vinyl-destroy-masters-as-protest-against-music-piracy.htm Ummmm....what. rudeboydh
This is probably the dumbest thing I've ever seen... Also, it's really going to be funny if a listenable version of the "unlistenable" album gets out to the internet somehow.
AlexH.
Jello Biafra did this 20 years ago. http://www.discogs.com/Tumor-Circus-Take-Me-Back-Or-Ill-Drown-Our-Dog/release/911293 rudeboydh

idreamofpunk
I found that Jello picture disc at reckless for 50 cents, and I don't think I smiled more with any other purchase.
lexicondevil
Why do I get the feeling that not many people are going to miss this unlistenable album? For a band that hates the whole marketing machine they did a nice publicity stunt and will also simultaneously release an ep that is "listenable". icecream
Emo Revival
This might be the dumbest thing I have ever heard of a band doing. If you're just gonna make it unlistenable why even record the music. I get the hatred of the album marketing and BS like that, but then just do a DIY release don't pull this stupid publicity stunt.
