Dominic_ Posted February 18, 2016 Share Posted February 18, 2016 its not stupid to complain! being in a position that you enjoy is so important regardless of the job market. oh darn, i wonder how i can figure out of thats my problem. its not connecting to the internet. it connects to wifi, but it was giving me a hard time loading pages etc. sometimes wouldnt load them at all. in the network diagnostics (in the "assist me" window of the network preferences) all the lights were green (wifi, etc), except the last two (internet and ip/server, <- i can't remember which as my laptop is at home). those two would switch from yellow to red/failed back and forth. all other devices in the house work, including my imac. its just my macbook pro giving me this issue. Sounds like an issue with the wireless card in your laptop. I have some spare USB WiFi cards lying around my house so if you want I can mail you one. If not they're like $10 on Prime. He recommended recording the problem to show the store employee. Even film your serial number in the about this mac so theres no question. (That helps with the repeating the issue problem) But after reading what you said he's not sure its the card. He's gonna look into it some more though. Random question did you recently change routers or anything. Is it a new computer? Or did it just stop working randomly? I had some issues similar to that when setting up a new router a while back. Plan on trying to make a career out of it or just a side project? Or is that what you do for a living? I don't think you've said. Not that it really matters, I just always see cool artsy shit and want to learn how to do it but I am just not creative/artsy. What do I do with my portfolio? Update it when necessary, and use it to get more commissions or apply to jobs. It's a side project, but hopefully will lead to a job I desire. I went to school for civil engineering and hated it entirely, but had worked marketing/graphic design at a radio station during school to keep myself happy, as I had always wanted to pursue that. Really, you just need a passion for it to improve your skills - I taught myself the basics of graphic design during high school, and drew/painted almost daily. I had some issues similar to that when setting up a new router a while back. i will definitely do that! thanks tell your friend thanks, too. i appreciate it! we moved to my parents mother/daughter last weekend. the router and all that is in my parents living room. i'm not sure its part of the issue since i've used their wifi before when i would come visit in the years before we moved. also, all our other devices work. my bf's macbook, my imac, my iphone, his galaxy, my ipad, both of our tvs w/ roku streaming sticks, my parents ipads and iphones, etc. its just my macbook pro that is having this issue. The betting is capped by $3 and $6 bets in this limit game so I legit can't bluff. It's beyond frustrating to play and I should have known better and taken my money to the blackjack table instead.
