My vacation started on Friday. I've been sick as fuck since Friday. Because obviously.

Feel better soon. Nothing worse than being sick on vacation.

Well, didn't get the job in Seattle or Vancouver, and probably turning down the Denver one due to the low-ball offer. Rough weekend

Anyone need a live-in veg. cook/dog walker/sassy best friend? Hmu

Lame. You'll find something good soon!

It's my last week off work, and I'm feeling much better with the new meds. I really don't want to go back, but whatever. I have a few phone interviews this week, so I'll see how those go. Also am going to see a psychiatrist starting tomorrow, so hopefully that helps too.

Honestly, part of my adult brain is like "Well at least I already had the days off. Now I don't need to call out or drag my sick ass to work."

We're in a giant house on the water (I think its a weird salt/freshwater mix inlet) in Virginia. It's a gorgeous property. Hella bathrooms and lounges and shit. My girlfriend is napping on a hammock on the upstairs deck, her parents are golfing, and I'm shooting some pool by myself. Pretty relaxing vacation, illness aside.

Boo, that sucks. Hope things start lining up for you.

Our house has an extra bedroom, I bet you'd really get along with my parents. Sold. :P

sorry to hear this but i think something will happen soon.  Most people I know couldn't get far enough in the Amazon interview for an onsite so i think you're really close to getting something awesome!

What'd you think of Neumos?  They just did a remodel and I'm not sure if I like what they did to the upstairs.  Downstairs is about the same.  Also, show was real good all around.  It was cool to see Deafheaven do that CODY cover.

I'm not sure the venue made much sense to me.  The floor was fine, decent views all around and sound cool but the whole upstairs is pretty worthless if you actually want to see the show. I'd go again no question but it didn't blow me away.

The show was great though. Fantastic bill. Caught all three.

I've heard with Google that many employees did the application cycle twice before offer. Making on-site is absolutely a great sign. Typically you want to wait a year, which sucks. In the interim, try to keep growing your skillset for the next go round. Lots of other stuff up here though Chkdea. What is your background again?

How is M$? You are on the Cortana team, right?

The upstairs has always been odd there, it wasn't so open before the remodel though.  Used to be a few bathrooms up there, a little bit of seating and the bar.  Now it seems like they expect people to sit up there and drink and watch the show on the TVs.  There were a few bars on the floor that got removed too.  They used to do a lot more 21+ shows, but I'm wondering if they're focusing more on AA shows now.

And yeah, show was great.  I would've gone for any of the three.  I guess Emma Ruth Rundle lives in Portland now, so I'm hoping her playing here becomes a regular thing.

Just had a crazy dope massage. I still can't breathe through my nose, but I don't feel like compete death anymore. Its kinda rainy, but definitely a good vacation.

Got an email yesterday that the John Mulaney show is being moved (to the venue next door to my apartment), so I got a refund and had to rebuy the tickets this morning. The problem with that is there's no internet and only "meh" cell service, so it was a huge pain in the ass.

Yeah, that makes no sense to me. Especially because the cameras feeding the TV seem to be garbage. She was awesome. Went in to that one blind, became a fan.

Oh no worries haha, but thanks. Hope you're doing well! :) Haven't seen you around too much lately

@tarzioo_ Thanks chica! I hope something does pan out - Midwest has worn out its welcome :P  how are you liking your new job/Seattle?

@BuzzersonKillwell I've heard that recently as well for Amazon - can go through the process a half-dozen times before things line up, weirdly. Thank you for the advice! I really liked the idea of that job specifically (Brand Specialist), so I'm definitely going to hone the skills I need for it. My background is in Civil Engineering, so I was the only one interviewing without a degree business/economics related

I didn't think Arizona had daylight savings?

Yeah, that's my point. It's so much later everywhere than it is here so I was just giving you a hard time since it's still hardly even after first period started here. It also put Dom and I three hours apart and fucks with my preorders since for some reason shit always seems to launch on east coast time so I have to set alarms and shit sometimes. <more first world problems>

Also, hey y'all, been a while since I've popped in here... but I hope you are all well!
