catalinacaper
I was also thinking 6-6:30. I think I will have some munchkin donuts so feel free to munch with me. VC party? I got there at 645 last year and was ~15th and got everything I wanted. But I expect the line to start even earlier this year. I may end up staking my spot out after I get off work Friday night and taking a nice nap til y'all show up haha
bluedeni
it seems every year it gets bigger at Park Ave. There are only a few things I want so I should be ok getting there between 6-6:30.

Aych
Well, as of today, Wuxtry Athens will have the Dan Deacon 7", the Best Coast 7", the Their/They're/There LP, and the Tame Impala 12". That's my entire wishlist. Looks like I'll be getting up early this Saturday after all.

wasteland76
so far almost everything i want will be at Sunrise in Toronto....they are posting pictures on their facebook page of everything they are getting in At The Drive in, White Stripes, Mercury Rev, Dave Matthews... all there. Only thing missing for me is the Big Star release... but any time they put out a RSD release it never comes up here
sirrichardrichard
The one in Toronto will be most stocked, but make sure you are there early - all those releases are getting spread out over 15 or so stores.
wasteland76
yeah its going to be an early start that day.
sciencekiller
Although Sunrise is overpriced, I'll still end up there, because they get the most crap in. Also handy to use a Sunrise card to get in an hour earlier. I bought one years ago and each year scrub off the expiry date and add a year on. They never question it. We got there at 8 last year and were probably 100-150 back(made it in by 11). I'd think 6-630 is a time to shoot for. I'm passing altogether this year. timsimmons
What's the mystery 7"? Grateful Dead and Dr. John both doing Iko Iko. Red splatter.
Duff
Lunchbox Records in Charlotte posted a pic of the mystery side by side 7" on their facebook but blurred out the center label. don't know if it's possible to make it readable but i'm sure there are far more tech savy people on here than me who might be able to fix the pic. https://www.facebook.com/#!/lunchboxrecords?fref=ts it's the second post down SpazzyMcGee and lazylabradorrecords

achillesstand7
So, anyone that's done the Strictly Discs "pre-request" thing: They will supposedly email you a day or two beforehand, and let you know what they will and will not be able to supply you? I've never done this before with them.
kforkevin777
I'm really hoping the stores in Pensacola don't disappoint.
searos
Since I am visiting multiple stores I hope that things I want don't sell out instantly if I don't wait in line super early

I've never done this before with them. Ahh Strictly Discs, breaking rules of "The Pledge" since 2011. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Stores will not sell Record Store Day releases online, nor will orders be taken online for later shipping, prior to that year’s actual Record Store Day. 6. Because of the limited quantity of some items and the necessity of allocating, stores are asked not to take pre-orders for Record Store Day product. In the past, this has resulted in customers not receiving items they have paid for. Also, OP (oojavaguru), I wasn't keen on buying you $70 worth of stuff and not having you follow through last year. Just a heads up.
dreamover
Strictly Discs gets more than almost any store in the country. They, for whatever reason, are immune to the rule and can take 'requests' they get orders filled based on early requests as well as prior traffic to the store. someone from strictly discs was a founder of RSD or something. stuffsux00
checking out the list for the Amoeba stores they put up today. they have everything except for a few, but they didn't take out any of the releases that got cancelled (SA/Eisley, Drive OST). people that don't know will be sorely disappointed when they get there.
