'Name Your Price' Bandcamp bands

Recommended Posts

I typically support the band by going to a show or buying merch if I download their music for free. I try to give them at least $1 because bands only get 200 free downloads a month from Bandcamp and I don't want to be the reason why someone who can't afford the music also can't get it.

Didn't know about the 200 free downloads limit...good to know!

I generally listen to whichever song's first, then if I enjoy it I will check another out. If I like what is there I generally pay according to the amount of songs. (At least a $1 per song).

However, with many bands that I've spoken to, even some that are on decent labels, the best way to support them directly is by buying merch on tour and whatnot as Nickificial said he does.

Sounds reasonable! Will probably do the same in the future! $1/song sounds fair!

BTW, do you know what amount/percentage the bands get from the price you choose to pay?

Free music! - Merry Christmas present from Flesh and Bone Records.  From now until the end of tomorrow, you can download all the Flesh and Bone albums for free.  Only 200 total downloads available, and the only other time I did these, they were gone super fast.  Hope you all enjoy, and thanks to anyone that has supported the label in its first year - already looking forward to 2015!

and

https://delusionsofgrandeur22.bandcamp.com/album/reclamation

are now free/NYP on bandcamp

both are really good, Reclamation was one of the top heavy albums of 2014, IMHO, so definitely worth checking out if you like heavy stuff.  Besides, they have a track titled 'Spawn of Sagan'  ^_^

I don't know if anyone posted this yet, but I would not think so.

Anyways, this is pretty new band called Møl from Aarhus in Denmark. They have labeled their own music as Black Metal/Shoe Gaze. If you like Deafheaven then you should definitely check these guys out

I think they sound quite promising, so I'm excited of what is to come.

This band called Old Poetry posted a new song for the first time since 2010, very much to my surprise. I don't even like this style of music much anymore but the few songs they've made are really good.

FFO: Brand New, Trophy Scars, La Dispute, other stuff like that

This is a band called Pastime, they used to be called We Are The Vulture. Melodic hardcore from Bangor, Maine. They broke up a while back after releasing an EP and a split with Cavities.

This is my favorite EP of theirs. Pretty sure the rest of their stuff is name your price as well.

This isn't exclusively my band, but for the past month I have been putting a project together as a fundraiser for one of my high school class of 2013 peers who attempted to commit suicide and died a few days later in the hospital.

This project is called the 621 Split, 621 being the school district we attended. I put together 12 songs from 12 different musicians/artists/bands that went to my high school. There's hip-hop, pop punk, pop, hardcore, doom metal and even ambient music.

I would appreciate if you checked it out and gave a donation if you are able. Every dollar counts.

Thank you.

Small Leaks Sink Ships just released their newest album titled Face Yourself, and Remove Your Sandals. Ridiculously good. I hope these guys can get a record pressed soon. It's not a "name your price", but worth mentioning because these guys make some great music.
