Gumbo72203
People who like Deafheaven will probally like Izah as well. And it turns out I's right. Probably going to spin this record tomorrow... been a while. I usually play Roads to Judah and save Sunbather for my car for release after work. Derek™
What does IZAH have to do with Deafheaven? Nothing, really, but I figure we'd keep the Deafheaven thread alive until new-album developments are announced.
dvv
you can just feel it in the air that their new album is going to blow Sunbather away
Eliminator Jr.
If you look at the picture of the back cover above the LP purchase option, you'll see that they've trimmed the last track in two at the 10:50 mark. I really hate it when songs need to be split in order to put in on vinyl, but at least the songs takes a good break at the ten minute mark so it won't feel too forced at all. Eliminator Jr.
Ahh. Have any of you heard Hope Drone? We are either talking Godspeed or a band of big fans of Godspeed right?
Gumbo72203
you can just feel it in the air that their new album is going to blow Sunbather away I hope you are right, although I'm having trouble imaging just how that would be possible haha
museummouth
Bosse-De-Nage > Deafheaven yeah I said it
Eliminator Jr.
Bosse-De-Nage > Deafheaven yeah I said it I love BDN, but I feel their stuff in a totally different way than Deafheaven. They are incomparable to me. Two vastly different points in the BM informed greatness of the last years.
museummouth
I just feel like BDN is so so so so underrated. They deserve all the praise/hype that Deafheaven has.
Gumbo72203
What's some stuff of theirs I should check out? I'm not familiar.

What's some stuff of theirs I should check out? I'm not familiar. All Fours is amazing, yet everything they did is.
fitterhappier
I was listening to the Deafheaven/BdN split just the other day. Shit is amazing
Derek™
Ahh. Have any of you heard Hope Drone? I have not, but yeah – what Eliminator said. Regarding BDN; All Fours is so incredibly good. I've been getting a lot of mileage out it, and their back catalog is obviously very solid as well. I don't think you can honestly compare them to Deafheaven all too accurately, but I will say that fans of Deafheaven will probably approve. Fwiw, there is a Black Metal thread in the Everything Else section that's pretty active as well.
