Albums with a better B-side than A-side

Recommended Posts

I was listening to The Wonder Years - Suburbia tonight and realized that I liked the songs on the b-side of the record much more than I liked the songs on the a-side of the record. I know this is a personal preference thing but since this is a music forum I thought we could discuss this. So are there any albums you have that you prefer the b-side to the a-side? Or to the broader point are their any albums that you really enjoy on one side and don't like as much on the other?

My first thought was Say Anything - Is A Real Boy (original tracklist without Was A Real Boy). I'd take the last 6 songs over the first 7, for sure. Yellow Cat/Red Cat is probably my favorite off of that album and is within the first 7 and I'd still have to go with the latter 6.

With that said, that entire album pretty much hits the bullseye for me.

Pretty fond of the bside on Fiction Family's second album and Anchor & Braille's first album.

New album from Dawes as well

Came here to post this. The B side starts off with "Empires", a vinyl exclusive track. All in all you can tell they actually gave some though to the arrangement of songs for the vinyl release.
