amnstypls
I have more friends on here than I do in real life, so I wanted to share the awesome news. I've mentioned in a couple of threads on here that I work in a call center. I started at the bottom of the barrel, and have busted my ass for the last couple of years trying to advance through the company. For the past 9 months, I've been working as a supervisor and I've consistently been at the top of the totem pole. The hard work has finally paid off. I've been offered a position as a Operations Manager at a brand new site in Colorado Springs, and I've decided to accept the offer. The thing I am most exicted about is that I will be working for a new client: Microsoft Xbox! I couldn't have dreamed of a better project to be a part of, and I'm really thrilled to start this new chapter in my life! Thanks for reading, and I'd love some record store suggestions for the Colorado Springs / Denver area. controlthebleeding, Buffbloom and codeine

jtcohenour
Congrats Colorado is a great state with a ton of fun things to to do. Be sure to hit Twist and Shout Records in Denver, they have an amazing selection.
rfoster8
Right on man, congrats! I'm hoping to move back out there next year, or maybe even before Christmas if I can get a transfer into DIA.
kjkenney
My mom lives in Denver and I frequent there a few times a year, but have only passed through CO Springs. Either way Colorado is a very awesome state and has a lot of good sights and culture. I second Twist and Shout in Denver; I make it a point to stop there every time I'm in town and never leave there empty-handed. Congrats on movin' up dude! laralaurent
Welcome!! I live in Denver and I second the Twist and Shout rec. Also check out Wax Trax. I haven't checked out any record stores in the springs but I highly recommend the King's Chef Diner for some excellent drunken munchies or actually a solid breakfast. 3arl
As if you needed another Twist & Shout recommendation. But it's great.

Youinreverse
Congrats. I love Colorado and I've traveled out there to see The Flaming Lips, Wilco, and The Dead Weather. I loved every one of the trips. It's beautiful country with some great Rocky Mountain snowboarding/skiing.
Derek™
Congrats on the promotion, man. It makes me happy to hear when genuine work pays off, and promotions are earned through means other than brown-nosing or office politics. I hope you can cope with the weather change alright. amnstypls
Thanks, all. And Derek, who said I didn't brown-nose? Haha jk. My boss is actually making the move with me, and I couldn't be more thrilled. He is an awesome dude and more like a father to me. He's getting a promotion out of it too, so it works out. seangj
Great hiking and great air. About a 3 hour drive from Colorado Springs, but it is worth it.
