The Concert Thread

Recommended Posts

I got to see the Wooten Brothers recently and if anyone has a chance to see them dont think, just go! one of the best concerts that I have seen in a long time. Regi Wooten completely blew me away with his playing, and of course Victor Wooten was phenomenal. Great music and an overall great live performance

Bayside 3/21, Self-Help Fest 3/22, The Wonder Years 3/23

6 fucking years, and I've never had a legit vacation from my job. Can't wait to see her reaction to me taking 4 days off IN.A.ROW.

The Self-Help Fest looks awesome! Wish Front Porch Step was playing too. May or may not go, work depending.

Geeze, what do you do for a living where you can't take a vacation?!

I know what you mean. I've been at my job for 5 1/2 years and I've never been able to take off more than 2 days at one time.

Sounds like I'll officially be heading up to NYC for the Glamour Kills Holiday Show on January 3rd, Hit The Lights is playing Skip School in entirety.

Is anyone else going to be there? It's my 21st birthday, I'm pumped.

I just might have to go to this.. wasn't aware it was happening.

Sounds absurd, but I'm a waitress. There are only two night waitresses, and nobody from the morning shift will ever work a night shift to help out.

Saw Pity Sex and Self Defense Family tonight in Pawtucket. Both were great. Even the openers were too. Pity Sex killed it. But Self Defense Family blew me away. Their live show kicks ass. 40 minutes didn't do them enough justice.

I love that venue, The Met. I've only been there three times but I would say it's my favorite venue.  Big room, easy to get around.  Plethora of parking.  Clean-ish bathrooms (at a rock venue?!?!?!).  I think Narragansett Tallboys are like $3.50 or $4.  Wish I could get down there more.  Thus far I've seen Lucero, Hot Water Music and Titus Andronicus down there.
