Guest
This is already shaping up to be way way way better than Hardcore Will Never Die. Mogwai are one of my two favorite bands in the world but Mexican Grand Prix is one of the worst songs I have ever heard. The rest of the album sounded like Kelly Clarkson could sing over it. fozzyb

scentofdeath
The rest of the album sounded like Kelly Clarkson could sing over it. You're exaggerating. That album is top notch beginning to end, and Rano Pano is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

deletedunknown
If Hardcore... songs were the type of music pop stars sang over, I would probably get more into pop music. WastedL1ght, tonyfranciosa and Cloudsbelow
scentofdeath
I felt Hardcore Will Never Die was a little more progressive and heavier sounding all around, but far from poppy. The songs sounded great live especially. Rave Tapes is more like the Mogwai everybody knows, but killer nonetheless. It makes me wanna get that boxset too. Gilded Gospel
Hardcore is my favorite record by the band. I've never heard a Kelly Clarkson song that sounds like any of it. I haven't heard the leak. I think I'm waiting till I get the vinyl .
cwhitmuzik
Really liking this, trying to decide whether to get this with Dum Dum Girls to take advantage of that 20% off $20 sale.
Guest
If Hardcore... songs were the type of music pop stars sang over, I would probably get more into pop music. Hmm, I can definitely see like Kelly Clarkson or some other shitty female singer doing their thing over this. Opinions or whatever. Not meaning to get anyone's panties in a bunch. I still aprecciate their music that I don't really enjoy a hell of a lot more than most stuff. I felt Hardcore Will Never Die was a little more progressive and heavier sounding all around, but far from poppy. The songs sounded great live especially. Rave Tapes is more like the Mogwai everybody knows, but killer nonetheless. It makes me wanna get that boxset too. They did sound good and their live show made me like the album (a tiny bit) more, but I remember the first Hardcore... US tour without Marting being a lot worse than their second US leg with him. deletedunknown
Still don't see it and I'd welcome a pop diva to try laying her pipes over it. Rano Pano is such a fun song. The most it reminds me of, if anything, is Gifts from Enola a bit in parts.

phoenixinflight
Listened to this once and not sure how I feel about it yet. I enjoyed Hardcore, but no other album aside from Young Team has really grabbed me.
stokd
Loving the heavy synths on this. Remurdered kind of reminds me of the main theme of World War Z, if Thrice during their Water EP era took a crack at it.

throwgncpr
anyone know when this might be shipping? just a week to go before its out
deletedunknown
Can't sign in with the new site to see if it's marked shipped. Then again when I ordered before the 20% off stuff it was marked as shipped by the sale, so I'm not sure how reliable signing in for the status would be anyhow. throwgncpr
throwgncpr
oh damn, good call. I just logged in, and my order is marked as shipped. Don't know when that happened, and no tracking, but I guess we can see this anytime now.

tonyfranciosa
I ordered mine with the Dum Dum Girls, so I'm still a week or 2 out from shipping. I'll just have to make do with the new Warpaint LP until then...

Derek™
I heard green. That is most intriguing. I haven't even received a shipping confirmation, so I imagine I'll be sitting tight and waiting for someone to confirm come Monday.
