skumbucket Posted July 3, 2007 Share Posted July 3, 2007 i have no interest in listening to it. siamese dream is obviously still unbeatable, but i thought "adore" was really underrated. that was the last one i enjoyed, and they sure seemed to disown it with that "machina" album. that could be a topic on its own: when bands make brilliant records outside of what's expected of them but they prove to be unpopular with their core audience so that sound/direction is completely abandoned in favour of a more traditional type of music but the "comeback" record doesn't do that well and the group disbands a short time later. you could throw face to face's "ignorance is bliss" in there as well.
