ratbrain
cheapest shipping option is $20.49 for UPS Ground, so this is really like $170 ppd Spiderland is one of my all time faves but goddamn that's pricey

fitterhappier
Ugh, I have to buy one edit: on second thought, I really cannot justify spending THIS MUCH on essentially a single LP since I probably won't listen to the other stuff
toomanyrecords
Like, put this into perspective. The Third Eye Blind box was, for $100 more, 3 more LPs, a 10" EP, and hand numbered out of 500. The value of this box for a T-Shirt and some CDs (seriously, no one wants CDs) in addition to the record isn't quite there.
dawhizz
Love this album, but if you can spring for this, you're a better man than me.
plasma36
This would be a lot cooler to me if I gave a shit about having a double LP of demos
youspinmeround
Utttakes and demos of songs I already heard most likely...no thanks That stuff is throw away stuff, imo. Worth a few listens but nothing you need to go back to
kannibal
I tried. I even went to the checkout screen. This album is legendary and the box looks incredible. But the only real way for me to clearly let them know that "this is overpriced" is to not buy it. So I won't. The first Unwound número box is $40. It doesn't include a DVD, signatures, or a "free" limited T, but those things aren't worth $110. Shame.
mcpherson123
The fact that they specify that this is cut from the original analog master tapes makes me wonder what the $10 copies that have been floating around for the past 5 or so years are cut from. azvd
A 2xCD would be enough for me.

jhulud
Man. If I followed VC logic and shit, I'd feel shitty for actually liking this set and really wanting to get it.
Guest
I am going to buy this and feel no shame. It helps that my birthday is around the release date. I have been waiting for this for quite a while. I'm enough of a Slint fanboy for the bonus songs to be enticing. Like, put this into perspective. The Third Eye Blind box was, for $100 more, 3 more LPs, a 10" EP, and hand numbered out of 500. The value of this box for a T-Shirt and some CDs (seriously, no one wants CDs) in addition to the record isn't quite there. But Slint don't suck and actually deserve money. No major label record deals for them. I would rather burn my money than give it to Stephan Jenkins. nothingnatural, plasma36, deletedunknown and 2 others
beatnik11
As much as I would love to have this $150 is just flat out asking too much. I also dont really get the appeal of single album box sets, I am all for some live or unreleased songs but having 3 extra unfinished versions of Pam seems like absurd padding to me. jerseydave77
Man. If I followed VC logic and shit, I'd feel shitty for actually liking this set and really wanting to get it. We are all against Juan - the ultimate Underdog! Seriously, Numero should pretty much do all archival boxes at this point. I would really really like this but $150 for a slightly different version of something I own isn't doable. Feel pity for me now.
drds89
do want, but like others, i need to allocate resources elsewhere. At what point would I pull the trigger for autographs, Tshirt, etc? IDK, probaby $75-100 (maybe) + $10 ship.
deletedunknown
The set sounds nice, but too much for me to put money on for what it is. Wish it was a full discography box set with King's Approach on a single sided 12" for the same price. I'd go for that.
dudefromglaciers
maybe the greatest or second greatest album of all time, next to soulside 'hot bodi-gram'. price is kind of steep.
scottheisel
Price is steep, but I probably woulda caved had they offered the shirt in fat-dude sizes. I don't get how it's the same price for a box set with a shirt versus without a shirt, though (but at least they're not charging extra for autographs if that's what you're into). eight1echo
I'd buy an LP/DVD combo or CD/DVD combo but can't afford to drop $200 on this.
buddha4281
I'd buy an LP/DVD combo or CD/DVD combo but can't afford to drop $200 on this. same. i was very excited with this. and reading through was pumped on everything. but just another case of the price not really justifying whats included. at least not for me at the pay i make. haha. i wish i could buy it though. cause i love slint. I really want to see that DVD.
