I've only hear 1 onelinedrawingsong ever. Just looked it up and it is We Had a Deal that I have on a Jade Tree comp. I recall enjoying the song. Is most of his stuff like that?

That's funny Marc. That was the first time I heard OLD, on a Jade Tree sampler, but that was back in 2004. I ordered The Volunteers based on the one song alone. Then checked out his other stuff (Far and Gradtitude) because of it.

He stuff is all over the place. Lots of it acoustic-lead. I would say "We Had A Deal" is faster than most of the OLD stuff.

I jammed so hard to Gratitude back in high school.

Maybe you can mail Jonah and ask if he can work something out for this?

He'll be happy to help you!

Also got the record coming from the KS. I wonder if there's any difference between those from KS and these from Thunderbeard.

Jonah will be sending out the random split colors for KS backers. I believe he is going to color and draw on those copies. The dude is excited about the idea of making them as unique as possible.

Thunderbeard copies will be blue on blue. They will be pretty as well, just not as unique.

awesome news, casey!  thunderbeard is doing excellent stuff.

fun sidenote:  a great friend of mine is becoming quite successful in his zine publication company.  he recently published a book of short vignettes called Sun, which jonah and i both contributed to.  i was stoked to be published in something alongside jonah.  :)  you can check out the zine here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/166635433/sun-anthology?ref=shop_home_feat_3

Watched Gratitude at warped tour one year.  His energy was great and that album was amazing.  even had a veggie burger with him later that day.  would love to continue to support this guy.

sad i didn't hear about the kickstarter campaign until now.

his song LUKEWARM is my jam!

I love the number of people that are chiming in about Jonah and how nice he is.

I have had the pleasure of talking to a number of artists that I love, but Jonah takes the cake. Our phone conversations/brain-storming sessions are a blast. He is truly a genuine and awesome dude.

For the record, his number one concern is making sure that the KS backers get taken care of first. The jackets for his variant are getting printed first and shipped out before the Thunderbeard jackets get printed, and he plans on shipping all of those KS backer records before anything else. That's what I loved about talking with him when we first started chatting. His main concern was the people who helped make this happen.

We've chatted briefly about future releases. If there are enough people wanting Gratitude records, I don't see why he would be opposed, but there might be some hoops to jump through.

I was lucky enough to spend about 45 minutes with him when he was touring with new end original. I used to do interviews and write music reviews for a site called Firesideometer.com and he was truly one of the coolest, and most cordial guys i ever had the pleasure to hang and interview in those crazy 3 years i was involved with that site. Count me in for wanting a gratitude record. I own almost everything he's put out on vinyl so this would be no exception.

I for one would love the Gratitude album. I know Atlantic probably has that thing on lock down, but I've heard they're pretty easy to get rights from.
