  1. I have a red label copy of Led Zeppelin II that I am playing now. The cover says it was made in Mexico for Polydor S.A. Everything is in English on the records label except for Lado A and Lado B. The album is in surprisingly good shape but the cover didn't make the journey so well. It was my brothers who passed away in 1978. Not sure how he got a copy of the Mexican release unless it was when he was in the Navy and was frequently in California. The cover doesn't open like the later releases did to expose what I always thought was a monument in tribute of the band.
  2. I have two Technics turntables that I bought new back in the 80s. One of them is a direct drive automatic and the other is belt driven. Went to connect the belt drive table the other day and the platter wouldn't spin. The belt was in about 100 pieces. Got the new one today and now using the table, Now if only I knew what I did with my mixer when I moved several years ago.
  3. I will eventually buy a phono preamp but for now, your suggestion should do, Thanks for the help.
  4. Marantz SR325 Technics EQ SH-8017 Technics turntable SLQ-350
  5. There is no pre out on the Marantz receiver if that is what you are referring to.
  6. I have a Technics turntable along with a Technics Equalizer. These are connected to an old Marantz receiver. All work great except the receiver is old and doesn't have a remote like my newer Onkyo receiver. Of course the Onkyo does not have a phono input and the turntable will not work with it without a preamp which I do not have. Does anyone know if the equalizer would work as a preamp with the Onkyo receiver?
