  1. Hi everyone I'm a newbe on site and was wondering if anyone knows of a UK based record cleaning company out there I have a 1979 bootleg copy of a live set done by a very young AC/DC in the Atlantic studios in front of atlantic executives the album is 110/220 on Impossible recordworks IMP 1-31 recorded in 1977. Even though it looks in excellent visual condition when played it sounds as if it's scratched to death I've no idea as to it's audio quality at recording and cannot judge whether it's deep seated groove grime causing this or the invariably hit and miss bootleg recording quality to blame I'm wondering if anyone can help.
  2. Hi sorry if this post is in the wrong thread but I'm a new member and I'm having trouble finding a pro record cleaning service don't know if anyone can help - I have a 1977 bootleg pressing of AC/DC's 110/220 (Impossible recordworks IMP I-31) a very very rare and important recording historically which I need cleaning, when I play it it sounds scratched to death but is actually in very good scratch free condition and the only cause I can put it down to is very deeply ingrained grime in the grooves. Is it possible that the inherently poor and varying quality of bootleg recordings is to blame for this and what is known as regards the quality of the original pressing.
