  3. i find that i'm not a total goofy bastard when i'm not high of half drunk all day. i'm usually annoying as hell in person (if not here too). it's hard being double super dad now that the wife is gone, so i figured it was best for everyone if i did this. i had the shakes for a few days, but i've gotten over 'em. i'm proud of myself. actin' all mature and shit.

    Koji - Acoustic Basement Tour 7" /300

Just got home and settled in. Check it out, guys: I was able to get the six for everyone who pre-payed, one for myself, and one that is up for grabs (and is PENDING) as well as stickers and little buttons for everyone to go along with the 7", everyone will recve the white color cover. Koji was nice enough to let me buy all of these, I caught him in a local sneaker shop before the show and I told him what the deal was and he was cool with it, he also threw in the tote bag for me for free as a thank you/birthday present/carrying case. And I bought the Koji/La Dispute split 12", which he said is now OOP and when they are sold, that is. As well as the split with Into It. Over It. Everyone who ordered I will not be able to ship until Monday afternoon, sorry I have work the next four days (but go in at night on Monday) after having the last two off for my birthday. I will PM everyone tracking!

  12. EDIT: News from the prp: • Deftones: Live: Volume 1 – Selections from Adrenaline One disc vinyl 12″ EP – Quantity N/A Songs from Adrenaline hand-picked by Deftones and recorded live at Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, New York, on Oct. 13, 1996. The initial release in a series of seven vinyl exclusive releases with the first release being a Record Store Day exclusive and the last planned to be a Black Friday independent exclusive retail release. Finally, the light of day has come. Cut for vinyl by Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios from the original live analog sources and pressed on both 120- and 180-gram highest-quality vinyl at Record Technology Inc. http://www.theprp.com/2013/03/01/news/deftones-kick-off-new-vinyl-live-series-on-record-store-day-avenged-sevenfold-linkin-park-reveal-new-vinyl-plans/ ------------------------------------------- Go to 9:20 on the link: http://www.kegl.com/pages/sixxsense.html?article=10786777 Chino describes it will be 4 to 5 songs from each album/era put on vinyl No details on the format (12", 10", 7" etc.) Probably would be about 2 to 3XLP. It bears clarifying that it seems to be the concept for the renditions of the songs to be live performances performed in the actual era in which the song was newest. I know this is pretty premature but its exciting nonetheless. Discuss!

  13. I go out for day beers with my buddy Monday through Friday. He gets a break between 1 and 2:30 so we always meet at the pub. I spend about $20 a day on beers at the bar. That's $100 a week. That's $5200 a year. That's STUPID.

  14. So awesome. I've been clean from 'other things' for a little over two years now. It's amazing how clearly you begin to think after awhile. You realize how cloudy your mind was before. A bigger plus is you can buy twice as many records (or more) and still have money to spare.

  28. "Record labels first need see that this is happening" You've been living in a hole, huh? The reason for the variants is to drive a collectors market that helps move records. Variant collectors of popular bands are bread and butter. Kids on the fence about a new band jump in for a limited variant. As to buying more than one copy of a release - not my standard operating procedure but I have no shame in knowing I can trade an LP for one I missed and is now being flipped. To use your example - I traded a Floral Green for a Shed on Blue straight up. I then gifted my black vinyl Shed to someone else. To me, the system works. I have no shame in that I avoided paying $80 for that copy of Shed by grabbing two Floral variants. Way back in the day I traded my Crippled Youth 7" for a Sick of it All and Chain 7" - you know, I wasn't interested in getting the $3 I paid for it when I made that deal in 1996. Judge me all you want but there is nothing wrong with finding a way to fill holes in your collection. You're overly serious and angry about it. You make it sound like you got into buying vinyl in 2012. Revelation perfected limited releases in the 80's and it's been copied ever since. Your internet rage might make you feel better but it isn't worth much.

  31. That's awesome buddy. I'm on month two of sobriety and it's going pretty damn well. The first two weeks were awful, due to alcohol withdrawal (I really did drink a lot), but after that passed it's been awesome, especially knowing the money I pissed away can go toward actual items that I can keep longer than a few hours.
