  1. I disagree. The diatribes of confident pseudo-soothsayers are incredibly dangerous to the impressionable among us. While it might be easy for you and I to spot some of the bullshit, a lot of people take it to heart without hesitation and base their entire weltanschauung on said bullshit and it's not very good for making real progress. Individuals like Alex Jones do not want anyone to think independently at all. They only wish for people to put them on a pedestal and help them make money by buying into their fear mongering. I'm not saying the major news networks are an answer or even anything to write home about but giving windbags like Alex Jones any credence is destructive.

  14. If Alex Jones has everything so figured out and is blowing the lid off of the Big Lies, how come the same government so evil as to kill it's own citizens brutally wouldn't quietly have him put down? Surely it's easier for him to "die from a congenital heart defect" than it is to pull off a big fake terror attack? Or is THAT what they want us to think?

  18. Ok so here's my review of it: I bought it and Repo Records in Philly. They also had Channel Orange on magenta. Nostalgia was $19.99 and Orange was $24.99. They had multiple copies of both. Nostaliga Ultra has a very thin sleeve, that feels closer to paper than cardboard. The artwork doesn't look too bad though. American Wedding is on it so that's a plus since that song is hard to find after The Eagles threatened to sue Frank. The vinyl has nice labels and is clear. It's not bad quality for a bootleg of mp3s. I'm happy with buying it.

  21. There are so many once great bands that have just stayed too long at the party... Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse... These bands should have broken up albums ago, instead they just crap out new, worthless songs.

  23. There's a Euro copy on ebay for pretty cheap. I grabbed one of them, there's one left. It also lists it as purple vinyl. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HAUSE-Dave-Cmon-Kid-purple-vinyl-7-MP3-download-code-/400466988676?pt=UK_Records&hash=item5d3db14e84

  25. Well, I have a different take. I think if Earache is going to half-ass these represses they should consider allowing smaller labels to license the property instead. I am finding increasingly that fans that are now doing represses are giving the attention and love these classics deserve. The job they did on Realm at the price they charged made it the worst package of 2012 in my book. Yes, I am glad to have it at non-ebay prices but that doesn't mean they can't honor the albums place in the history of metal by putting in a little effort. Earache has done a shit job on a lot of these represses of late and it simply shouldn't be this way.

  35. I love Two Conversations. I think it's my favorite AC record. I don't think it's their best but I love it because it's their most accessible work. Knowing where they came from to write those songs, I think it shows that this band could be a popular band if they wanted to write radio friendly music. But, they write what they want and seem to appreciate the attention they get for that. I respect it. I fell in love with them in 2000/2001. Probably one of my favorite bands who started near at the same time I was beginning college and continued to progress through my early 30's as I progress.

  36. Oh, variants. I don't have anything to add with regard to that. Don't have a clue. Nirvana - Bleach, sure, why not? I was posing the query in which I speculated which record was THE RECORD that people tried get every copy available. I never heard of anyone doing that before Sgt. Pepper but it could be. They don't like to be refereed to as "colored" anymore.

  39. You guys sure do like conjecture. It was a dick move. But I'm pretty sure my tone implied that I knew that already. If it didn't, sorry, but certainly my tone wasn't braggadocios. Yeah, I thought being indignant about it was pointless. I didn't uphold my end so I figured I would take the heat. Outside of this specific instance, being a dick is typically subjective. Being honest is really important to me and is generally typified by my actions. I think my example and advice given to the original poster was akin to what you're saying. Shouldn't happen but does.
