Will literally never write about this band in AP ever. Tangent: The singer of Ice Nine Kills sent me a gift basket and an apology note because he wants to get his band in AP. NOT GONNA HAPPEN, JUNIOR.

  4. Unless my ears deceive me, this album is fantastic. First listen, and I'm hooked. For me, The Upsides is pretty hard to top, but they have done a damn good job trying.

  7. my favorite part about that is that he hashtagged all that ridiculous stuff and STILL only got 23 likes. i guess the yolo-swag lords were not smiling on him that day.

  11. Try hitting up the label or band and I'm sure they can help you out. I feel like people miscalculate shipping to Canada pretty frequently!

  12. Just letting you guys know I changed out the o2 sensor as well as cleaned/replaced gaskets on my throttle body. The thing is running with no problems. Next comes egr modifications that firefox reccomended. While I am at it I am also rerunning some of my vaccum lines (they are crumbling in my hand. I am so glad I didn't listen to the advice to just give up on this car. Fixed this whole problem for $20 tops.

  13. If anybody can pick me up a copy of the record release limited vinyl tomorrow I'll pay you $50 for it, seriously.

  14. Tiny Engines will be getting 50 copies of the split. No idea what variant, but for US customers we charge a flat rate of $4, so no matter how many records you order, shipping will always be $4. For overseas kids, Looks like it will be about $12 for shipping, but that's literally how much it costs. Yeah, sucks to be you. Canada ... I don't know ... who cares. (Just kidding: it's $8)

  15. I'm also a little surprised the first album is still available. Even considering how relatively obscure they still are. This 2XLP is seriously one of the best sounding, highest quality LP's I have. It just came out perfect.

Plus, I will throw in a whiskey & coke colored* record. The artist will remain a surprise. *This was the actual color description from the label.

  29. really this is turning out to be a fantastic year of new music - it seems like almost all my favorite bands are releasing something new.

  30. I have listened to the album 4 times now. Trying to full gauge an opinion. I really do hope this grows. I think Suburbia came out at just the right time and is my personal favorite still but TGG is their most solid. As par as looking for stand out parts there are plenty for me personally. Lots of tracks I would listen to individually. This is however their least catchy album they ever done. They seem to be hitting the point where despite playing a style they are known for they want to be more than just pop punk. - I find it to contain their best lyrics - least catchy of all albums - Each half of the album is about equally as strong - I personally like the closer but I can gauge why people wouldn't - Production is really good but vocals have hit a new level of rasp for soupy This album is very much Suburbia part 2 but in lots of little and fine details they show growth. The band also seems to put a lot of passion behind the writing. I think it transitions song to song worse than The Upsides or Suburbia but has the most energy out of the trilogy. Personal assessment. Not even a review and no score attached. Its good. Honestly after listening more I think my initial remarks were a bit off. Its not groundbreaking just incredibly solid. Its basically a full improvement to the sound they generation with their last album minus the flow but in marginal and fine details. Overall the theme fits well and the album feels genuine. It contains some of TWY's best songs but I feel it will take more time to grow because of the how marginal the differences are between their last album. Its definitely not coast as the album bleeds passion. I do think they could of took a bit more risks but I appreciate the energy, the passion, and aggressiveness. I do think its their best album but its harder to notice from the perspective of the rate at which they have progressed. They went up a few blocks instead of a mile but never the less released a very solid album perfect for the summer of 2013.

  42. Directionality, reflections, and obstructions can have a dramatic effect on the fine details of sound. There is a school of thought that holds good or perfect speaker placement, including position in the room and relation to the listener, in the highest importance to how good a system sounds or can sound. Moving around in a room can cause changes in the amount of a certain frequency, like more bass in the corner or against the walls. If someone doesn't know about this, or chooses to ignore it for whatever reason, that is up to that person. Either way it is ignorance. And that ignorance can be bliss. If one doesn't worry about it, then they can be happy. As for his collection, sure he could have obtained it by many means, but he has a very modest (previously referred to as "shit") system to play back his wealth of vinyl. As he said, he loves the way his system sounds, so what he paid for the records is irrelevant as he would have the system that he loves regardless. As my original response was meant to state, it is subjective, and despite his personal attack on me, I still am happy he is enjoying his listening experience, whether I approve of it or not. /the internet
