Straight from the King's mouth in case no one has gotten the message before: Osborne: We're really focused now on playing small-ball — doing hyper-limited 7-inches of covers and shit like that, stuff that I know we would appreciate, especially with Tom. We're more do-it-yourself now than we've ever been. It's almost like going backwards to go forwards — do the silkscreen covers, stuff all the records yourself, make the extra letter-pressed CD covers and all the extra stuff that you can't get on a download, you know, and just try to focus on that. I never want to listen to criticism where people are telling me how expensive something is, when I know the most important thing is the music itself — which is typically available for free somewhere online. Then I'm like, "Blow me!" What do you want? You want the music for free and you don't want to pay dick for some really cool packaging? Well, great.

dang, this year keeps getting better and better. and the best stuff is the "comeback" albums from folks who have been away a long ass time (Bowie, MBV, Wire, QOTSA, Suede, Daft Punk, etc). Here's hoping Mazzy Star (and NIN) continues the trend.

Is it just me or is this label's output so far really disappointing this year? I guess B&C will bring it up but for a while I saw this label as the better brother of RFC and RFC has just blown them away this year.

I will offer them here at what will be my starting prices on eBay Tuesday! conditions: (album/cover) $50 - Soundgarden - down on the upside (VG+ to NM/VG+ to NM) A&M Records ‎– 31454 0526 - 1996 - 2×LP - Limited Edition condition reasons: there are surface marks on the record but it didn't skip, also I am seeing a slight warp on disk #2 but its not bad. The cover has no tears but fuzzy corners and bent corners. The paper sleeves have no rips but they do have bent corners. * note * - I bought this the day it came out as a fan with no record player and had it since, lending it out a few times. + $4 shipped in US only, USPS media mail with tracking. This is all just a sneaky way for Universal to maximize their profits without taking any financial risk. They're pretty much figuring out what record they can sell the most, stick an hefty price tag based on "exclusivity" and the promise of getting "art prints" or other useless things to justify the price.

The whole show, they seemed so happy and genuinely shocked at the turnout/reaction from the crazy crowd. They even laughed off the girl who kept coming up on stage in attempts to seduce them....which was kinda awful.

What I'm reading are some insecurity problems, and some lack of self-worth. If your gf broke up with you and is seeing some other dude then fuck her, you deserve better than that. No need to get hung up on it no matter how much time and energy you've put into the relationship. You need to understand that you're young and good looking and could swing some chick right now at this very moment if you wanted to. If she treated you like shit or one of the parties in the relationship wasn't happy then it's just for the better. You're worth more than that. You can lay pipe all of town if you wanted to, whether you're able to see it or not. There's literally millions of fish in the sea, it's short sighted to think the one chick you got with in your twenties in your specific local region is the only one for you. Go out there and swing some beetches, man. But as cliche and cheesy as it sounds, you really can't learn to love someone else until you start to love yourself first. As for being jealous if your girl is out with friends, you need to get over that, right quick, if you want to get with any decent and self-respecting lady. Girls just wanna have fun man, like the song. Let them go out and have fun, even if it's with guy friends. They don't need to text you the whole time because that's the whole point of "trust," you know, it's that little thing that people say the foundation of all relationships are built on. Go out with "girl-friends" if that's what you want to do especially if she is hanging out with guy friends, it's unfair to deprive yourself of social interactions because you think she'll get jealous when she's doing the same shit to you. But you can't play the jealousy game and keep tabs of "oh she's gone out with friends x number times so I'm owed a night out with a lady friend" or something. Just do what's right when it's right. You'll know if something is for sure up if you have an open and honest relationship and need to have trust in that. And if she can't have an open and honest relationship than fuck it, you're worth more than that.
