How is that not a reasonable answer? It's a perfect comparison. Yes, 99% of the time the label owns the rights to the record and has complete control over it. That doesn't make it right. In my experience, the point of reissues is to have music you love, from a band you love, on a format you love. If you really love the band and the album, wouldn't you want to have some contact with the band instead of just going behind their back and doing it? It is their art regardless of who "owns" it and I would reckon most artists would like to have some input on how their art is represented. The only reason you'd not try and get in touch with the band is because you simply don't care and are just reissuing the album because you know it'll sell copies, which is exactly what SRC is doing. So yes, it is fucking shady. It's essentially an authorized bootleg. It's amazing that it's such a non issue for most of you guys.

All of these variants remind me of Third Man variants. Actually, now that I think about it, it'd be sweet to have the friends press be a tri color. Like the yellow / black / white tri color variants that Third Man does. Hopefully it's something unique.

I remember buying Rid of Me when it came out. Like 20 years ago or something. (sidenote: Fuck, I'm old). I think it was the day I left home. I just remember driving endless hours across the country listening to it on cassette. Killer album. I think I like 4 track demos a tad better now, just because it's so raw. I don't think she has reached anything as good as "To Bring.." with her most recent albums, although I did like some songs on "Stories By...". Looking forward to grabbing this when it's finally reissued.

I bought the Insidious one and it is incredible...thick vinyl, awesome package...the only problem is I can't listen to it because it freaks me out... The first time I listened to it was around 11 at night and I about pissed my pants where all the strings come in at the title sequence...haha Hopefully they press The Conjuring...I would definitely buy that...

Dude sucks for sure. I bought a record from him off Discogs, and he kept telling me he shipped it (for about 5 weeks). I finally opened a Paypal claim, and within a couple of days he dropped the LP off at the post office. I got my record, but it took close to 2 months and a TON of emails/bitching/paypal claim.
