I'd much rather have the same question asked over and over and be about the release the thread is about than a million wrestling and cat gifs that just end up getting the thread locked when there is an entire section of the board dedicated to that kind of thing.

this is nick from bongripper. i am anti-kickstarter and long pre-orders in general, which usually act as a kickstarter. we did not intend for a pre-order of this length. the plan was to get the vinyl out by maryland deathfest, but the process moved slower than expected. we literally had the artwork completed the day before the stream went live, which we expected to be finished months ago. i already had the stream set up with noisey so people can hear the new track which we will be playing at MDF. it's half our set. we decided to start the pre-order when the stream went live because noisey/vice is a popular site. this way people will not forget about the record when it's physically available. we did not fund this pressing with your pre-order money.

The most reckless part of all is that he's sitting in the passenger seat. I can't begin to image how dangerous it is to navigate the steering wheel and pedals from one seat over.

If you want to complain about how lame it is that you didn't grab a copy of a somewhat limited release: make a thread about it. At least then people who come in looking for legit info don't have to wade through all of this refuse. You don't see people in the Earth reissue thread constantly bitching and moaning about missing out on the 500 colored Bees Made Honey and Hex reissues like you do people complaining that they missed out on 2,700 splatter EOTS records. That's the thing, it wasn't a legal issue. Long story short: ETR requested the license from Epic, Epic agreed, ETR talked to the band to get their blessing, the band said to talk to their manager, their manager said yes, ETR and the manager talked about doing a tour press through ETR, ETR had them pressed, the band/manager stopped communicating with ETR, ETR released the record, the band took to twitter to say they had no knowledge of the release and they'd be doing their own separate 10 year release, ETR responded, back and forth arguing over this, everyone agrees it was miscommunication, band asked for copies. Hell of a run on sentence.

Reanimator coffee in Philly is the best. Plus they sell their coffee beans in local Whole Foods so it's easy to pick up.

Well, it's sold out anyway. It is essentially a kickstarter, especially since the band seems to not want to repress things despite high demand. I don't dislike the idea of bands taking on a kickstarter-esq plan though, especially if it's an independent band and the album is finished (just needs to get pressed) Actually, I really dig what Ninjatune did with "beat-delete." Pretty much just a kickstarter to repress old albums. Once enough people make a "preorder" it gets repressed. I wish more labels did that. It would save them the hassle of judging which albums have a high enough demand for a repress and prevent them from making too many/not enough.

I'm happy to report that I'm just a dumbass. The record cleaner I have is the KAB EV-1 that only works as well as your household vacuum is working. When I was sweeping today, noticed it wasn't picking up shit. Took it apart and found that it was massively clogged up with random 2-year-old child debris (goldfish pieces, etc.) Cleaned it up real good and thought, "hmmm... i wonder if this caused my cleaning of the Deloused records to fail and therefore why it sounds awful..." So, I recleaned my Deloused records and wala! no more surface noise! I'm very happy now with the way this record sounds and even happier that I'm not going to drop additional coin on a black copy.

Did a count of names of people interested and I picked up 15 for the board. Drummer was ecstatic. Had to charge it to my credit card . It was 7 bucks. So that plus shipping + fees so I'm not losing cash. I'll update everyone with totals later

Why not just press say 1000 instead of 250-500? These releases sell out very fast, so there is obviously demand, and the difference in price from a run of 500 compared to 1000 is hardly anything, isn't it?

Don't mean to be a negative nancy but this kinda sounds like shit on vinyl. Don't get me wrong, woulda bought it if I could because I love the album but the sound quality on this release is not great and is even worse on vinyl.
