I don't necessarily believe in karma, but I do believe in God. Ya ya you all can roll your eyes at me but we are all entitled to our own thang. For me I think "who am I to say what is good? Who am I to define what should or shouldn't happen?" I am so small. So ridiculously small in the grand scheme of things. Yet this life is a gift in my eyes. And I have had a lot of shitty stuff happen to myself and people I know. I'm not saying it happens in every instance, but I can say from my own experience I have seen negative experiences be used for good. I have either learned something great, or have actually been able to love other people better out of empathy because I knew what they were going through. I know it's a huge question and kind of a simple answer. And I'm not saying it fixes it all, but that is how I view it.

I also buy broken records for this reason. Their role in these peoples' life events and the attention they were once paid fills them with tremendous power. They make wonderful ritual objects for demon conjuring.

Came home to my package waiting for me on the porch and like I said earlier in this thread, I planned on opening it when I got it..........and I did just that! I LOVE what I received. I work outside so the scarf and beanie will get maximum usage this winter. If you can't tell from the picture, those are vinyl coasters! Those will also get a lot of use! I go to starbucks at least once a week so the gift card rules. Love that MCS record and I've been meaning to buy that for a while so I'm very happy with that. I've never heard of Tycho before but I'm always down for checking out new stuff so I'm looking forward to listening to that. Judging by my clues, I'm going to guess that my SS was TinadaZombieRomancer. I'm very grateful and thankful for all you got me! I'm going to assume you handmade those coasters, scarf and beanie and if you did, that is really awesome that you took the time to do that. Again, THANK YOU!

Gave this to my girlfriend for her birthday this past Monday (the 3rd)...she only found out about the box set a week or two before her birthday. I knew she was a huge fan and dug through her vinyl and found none of their albums so it was a no-brainer. She had zero indecation that she would be getting this...so when she opened it up her eyes got all big and she pulled a little kid as a Christmas that got a tickle me Elmo that year and kind of looked at me then looked back at it and said "wait....this is sold out everywhere.....this has been sold out for a while?" And then proceeded to just kind of exclaiming "Holy Shit Holy Shit Holy Fucking Shit". So, now that the initial shock has worn off and she's actually spinning these, man, what a well done box set....each LP is gorgeous, the anti-static inner sleeves for each LP, each disc sounds really really fantastic, haven't checked out the book, just the records. Stoked to have this in my house and super stoked at how much she freaked out upon opening it

I got my copy in, and I have to flip this thing over to hear the b-side! Wtf Kings Road?! If I had only known beforehand...

Hey guys, found some records in my closet

The plant just contacted me about these and looks like they are pressed and going to be included on their record of the week blog this week! Check out a preview below. The release is 2xlp (the A/B side are black and white configurations, some with oxblood splatter) and then ALL of them have a C/D side of the Green which matches the snake on the EXPANDED artwork and back cover. This release also will have ALL the bonus tracks featuring on the cd/dvd re-issue. I will post more pics and details once they arrive to our office, which should be sometime early next week and then they should be ON SALE late next week but as always, I will post updates and give a few days heads up once we set a definitive plan.

please don't have a mastering engineer blast out the volume of your acoustic-based record. your s's will be ssssuper ssssibilant and the record will be prone to other surface noise issues in the pressing stage. better to go with a more dynamic master cut at a modest (but not especially quiet) volume. gotta groove's go to is http://www.wellmademusic.net/ and i would trust clint 100% with any rock record. heavyweight vinyl is a safer bet if you can afford it, as the resistance to warping allows folks at the plant to tune in the machine for sound a bit more. a lot of that tuning in has everything to do with heating and cooling of the record, so a more resilient record can be tuned in a bit better without warping.
