Run it under cold water in the sink for a while. The labels should be fine as long as you don't scrub them. When they dry, they should look normal again. Whenever I clean a record, my first step is to run it under the faucet to get all the loose stuff off. Then I scrub it with distilled water, enzyme cleaner and tergitol. Then I rinse in the sink. Then I submerge and rinse in distilled water and then pat dry and let it air dry the rest of the way. After that, I put it through a vacuum RCM. If that doesn't get it clean, the record is toast. And the labels always look like they did when I started.

My store is pretty small, and I work there, and I am off that day. We never have anyone waiting to get in on RSDs. I am more than happy to pick up extra releases. As I said though it's a small store and we probably got very few things. No need to message me, I know what people are after and if we get them I'll pick extras up. Worse case scenario those people do get the record, someone will buy it from me somewhere.

Since we're sharing secrets, I never cared for much, if any, of the slapsticky Jim Carrey garbage that made him famous. Dumb and Dumber getting a sequal is about the worst thing I can imagine. That's the thing! We were going back and forth about how payments should be applied to invoices, and I was seriously telling him his way doesn't make sense and causes more time and paperwork and he just keeps saying "we have to get creative!" Except they aren't doing that. They're repressing the same albums in intentionally small numbers to capitalize on a manufactured sense of collectibility. Miss out on the previous 9 presses of ADTR? Get this new one but hurry cause it's limited to 203. I don't know shit about running a label, but I would imagine when deciding how many of something you want to press you shoot for a number that will sell in a reasonable amount of time. So when Relapse does an 8th pressing of Mastodon you do a couple thousand. Whereas if you're Topshelf you're pressing some niche artists so you only do a few hundred and then a few hundred more when you sell out. Victory knows ADTR and BTBAM will sell quickly and they could easily produce 500-1000 of each album and move it. But they want to capitalize on the shittiest aspects of THE HOBBY so they keep churning out these same albums over and over. They're riding the last gravy train they have left because no one gives a fuck about their current roster (other than Counterparts). So rather than focus on being a reputable label putting out good music they want to slowly scrape up what's left of their glory years. Maybe if they put enough limited variants they squeeze a few extra bucks out of the completionists. Shitty to the bitter end Victory. EDIT: ^^^ my possible misinformed opinion

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed in this release. The only extras are songs that have already officially released. I was hoping for some demos or live stuff. I still ordered immediately, but I'm sure there is more in the vault that would be awesome to hear! I hope Saddle Creek does more of these reissues soon!

i actually just read some old interview on that wisdom of chains band. what a bunch of chodes. talking about real hardcore and how they aren't the kinda band that is on the radio. they sounded like some 15 year old kids who just got into the whole hardcore scene thing and are talking like it's something new and profound. completely insulting most people's intelligence (unless you're 15). talking about how their songs are about unity and crap like that. then i listened to the link and they sounded exactly like how i thought they would sound. they had the lyrical prowess of THE OFFSPRING (cheezzzy) and the music sounded like it was all running through a crate guitar amp with scooped mids. ooof.
