there is a huge market that is completely untapped in austin. most of the record stores specialize in either like, old rare LPs and experimental shit. the others are just top for BS that is so overpriced it will make your head spin. i really want to cater to that person that just LOVES music and really want to go above and beyond to find new music. no matter how it plays out, any record store you go to here, you are judged in one way or another for your musical taste. its upsetting to me. i want that judgment free zone. I want to be that store that carries bong ripper for that doom metal lover, but also the newest top 40 pop stuff.....sorry, I'm excited

With extra cheese? I'm a bit in two minds on this one. Buyer beware doesn't exist in peoples minds now so they think how bad can it be until they find out the hard way but If it stops people ruining their records when they've made an impulse buy of a record player with no research then good, I don't think that's the drive here though. Crosley are pandering to the criticism because they feel they have to and not for product improvement in itself, as people have said anyone who does an ounce of research is a lost sale to them so they feel they need to change that image. The problem here though is it's still very poor quality, it's easy to see which cheap Chinese deck they've used and the build quality and quality control will still be shit so it will still be pot luck as to whether it will actually track properly, yes they are better then the standard plastic rubbish but it's only slightly better plastic rubbish with some adjustments that make it look more like a proper turntable That said anything that gets people into vinyl is a good thing but Crosley and others like them are milking this bandwagon for all it's worth so our mission here people is education, education, education.

Some dumbass ran into my car and totaled it. Insurance paid for part of a replacement, but now I have a car payment. I work full time every day to try and pay that damn thing off, so I can transport myself to and from work. You seriously want me to pay for your replacement guitar? C'mon kid.

It was for the standard orange.....and I'm not going to be selling my splatter any time soon. However, I will be doing my OWN give away for the regular copy once I get it .....so keep your eyes open for that!

It's UK only. The LP I showed was one I bought long ago from a 3/$1 bin. The box with the 2 CDs and the DVD-A was released in the US last week. Anthony Phillips isn't on any of the lists of UK titles that appear to be sneaking their way into the US. I love that album and I hope you find it somehow. Based on a casual listen, the 5.1 mix is at least very good. It might be amazing but I wasn't able to focus. Everything sounded just right, if you know what I mean. Check it out if you do surround sound.

Here's ebay craziness for you. About 7 years ago I bought that damn Jason Mraz album at my local record store, on the strength of that "I'm Yours" single. I couldn't have paid more than $12 for it. I'm not really sure what I was expecting because, quite predictably, I hated it. I listened to it once, maaaaybe twice, and put it on the shelf never to touch it again. I figured I couldn't pay anyone to take that thing off my hands, and it would just serve as a reminder of simpler times. I come to find out the other day that the album is being repressed due to high demand.... reealllly? So I throw it on the bay... Less than 4 minutes in, there are multiple watchers, and I get a message with an offer for $200 if I end the listing. REALLLLLLLLYYY? Jason fucking Mraz. secondhand deja owners are immediately absolved of all shame after this.

LOL, why accept payment for a record you already sold AND WITHDRAW THE FUNDS? Seems irrational.
