  6. This exactly. Rambo, you've got to be crazy to think Taylor Swift is a better singer than her. Her songs might be better, but her voice... Nah.

  7. Apologize in advance for being lots of photo guy but I have a photo for each so its easier to update when the inevitable next press comes out. There are three bands I actively try to keep complete: Bayside, Moving Mountains and Owen. Here is my Bayside collection, all I am missing that I am aware of is the green split 7" and the Black vinyl of the white version of Cult though I do have that incoming (was sent two reds in error). I'll post what I have of Owen later though I know there are several other photos of that collection here from others, but, I mean, I did name my son Owen, so maybe he is an added collection bonus haha

  10. I usually pick up frames at Cheap Pete's in SF (not sure if they are just in Northern California?) They also have ready made frames for Fillmore posters. This Ryan Adams print is a really unique size (9" x 24") so I ended up going custom, it still only cost around $80

  19. Calling it on page 1: this will play out like the Phantom Menace soundtrack saga. No one in their right mind is going to actually make 4000 copies of the Room soundtrack (on 8[!] colors), and certainly the demand isn't there. Maybe in 2010.

  26. The mono beatles set would have been a bargain at 3 times the price. UK monos in nice playing condition aren't abundant or cheap. Any one of those records in mint condition would likely cost you hundreds of pounds. Considerably more when you're an American who has to import them and compete with the rest of the international collector's market.

  28. honestly thats one thing that bothers me, is that alcohol is such a social activity. im used it and it is what it is but do we have to go to the bar again? why not the fuckin batting cages or something, something else! but its cool, im used to the setting and having an older brother i had plenty of opportunities to drink with him and his friends, just never did. i really don't care what you do, just like you dont care what i dont do. but when it comes down to me caring is when its either getting out of control or its someone im seeing. ive dated someone who smoked weed and drank pretty regularly, just couldnt do it. smoking is just gross to me, i dont wanna kiss you. and if im with you i like you for a reason, anything that changes you as a person, being high or smashed its just wicked unattractive. if this shit makes sense and i hope i dont come across as fucking turd.

i searched a little more and found it. still, its pretty dumb. the fact that over 1 million hits for JUST that song and an instrumental b-side is just too insane for me. guaranteed every single one would've been on ebay if the site didnt go down. can we get back to fallout?

Why would they be mad that people want to buy their product? I guess maybe they could be mad that they still haven't figured out this whole internet thing, but there are labels that have been doing this for way longer than them that still have webstore issues now and then. Really bummed that I typed out a serious reply in this thread when all I really wanted to do was post "IT'S UP!".

  33. Also, Tommy Wisseau would totally press 4000 copies of this because he's a fucking egomaniac lunatic. Sadly I don't think this label is run by Wisseau.

  34. So you're judging her based on the product she sells and not on the actual merits of her voice. You could've started with that Can we draw a line between "I don't like her music" and "she can't sing" though? Because those are two separate things.

  37. Hello again, and thanks for your patience on receiving your Father John Misty replacement LPs. You may have received a similar email from us recently, but we've been getting many emails over the last week asking about the status of the replacement LPs, so we wanted to make sure you were updated here and now. Unfortunately for us, and due at least in part to the demands of Record Store Day, the plant pressing the vinyl for Father John Misty’s I Love You, Honeybear album has been unbelievably busy the past 2 months, and we’ve had to wait our turn in line to get our replacement tri-color LPs made. We were originally told we’d have these replacement LPs in our hands sometime in the middle of March, and that obviously didn't happen. Finally, this week we received word from the pressing plant that they're going to have these on the presses in the coming week. And they've told us we can let our customers know that we’ll be able to start shipping replacements from Sub Pop right around the first of May. We apologize for this delay and greatly appreciate your continued patience. Your friends at Sub Pop

  45. I don't mean for this to start a "which label is better" (although, I do recognize I'm on the Internet), but it just seems like Epitaph has been getting the best bands. From Propagandhi, The Menzingers, The Lawrence Arms, and now Joyce Manor. Fat definitely has its current active standouts like Masked Intruder, Bad Cop Bad Cop, Strung Out, and Banner Pilot, but don't have the same energy they used to. I also realize that Epitaph puts out ALOT of shit, but it's fairly easy to ignore that nonsense. What do you think? Am I totally off base? Would love to hear what everyone thinks.
