To address the spotty/shitty shipping issues (if it hasn't been already), Urban sends orders out from stores in an effort to cut down on shipping times. When you order an album, and it comes up on "pack & ship," you're at the mercy of whatever employee is filling orders at that store. I can't speak to how things are packaged at other stores, but mine has vinyl mailers. We also don't allow anyone who isn't in management to package orders. There are stores with employees and management who are fellow record collectors and give a shit. If you're getting things in plastic mailers, or albums just thrown in boxes, I can guarantee it was filled in a store that isn't properly instructing its staff. The easiest way to tell if you got a record from a store is to check and see if it has a small price sticker that is also a sensor. Albums from our record distributers and warehouses will never have a price sticker/sensor. If an order got sent to you in substandard packaging, and it's from a store, I would urge you to call the customer service line and complain. Every pack & ship order has an employee name attached to it, and complaints do get sent to the store that sent it out. You can also order from the customer service line and tell them you don't want anything sent from a retail location. I think the more attention gets brought to the care of records at the store level, the better.

haha well I figured you weren't bent out of shape. my point was only that nothing will ever change. if it's a release you want, you'll order it. if SRC came out right now with a repress of sigur ros 'takk' and they were the only place you could purchase it, you can't tell me that you wouldn't--you would buy it in a heartbeat. it's a pleasant surprise when things I preorder come as scheduled, but that's rarely the case, SRC or not.

I am kind of surprised to see Nothing release an LGBT themed record. Obviously they're not against LGBT rights (I would assume), but when you share a band member with Whirr, who call their fans pussies and just aren't very conscientious people, it does seem a little odd. That said, I love Nothing's music and I ordered this record, just a little weird. And hey, obviously there is no issue with them doing this, they just aren't the first band I would expect to do it. Good for them/Relapse for slapping the LGBTQ flag on the front of their record. It's cool and it will sell.

Today, when my mailman dropped off my package, he had a five o'clock shadow and bloodshot eyes...I've never seen him so agitated and disheveled. Should I just call Amazon and ask for a refund? Or should I go outside and see how the package is first?

I cancelled mine and they gave me a hard time as well. I just ended up opening a case with my credit card company. Got the refund in 1 day.

Yea some of the best material both of those bands have ever released are on that split. Those might actually be my favorite Whirr songs.

Added doors to the cabinet, the doors can display a record or a picture and you can change records/pictures just by sliding them from the top of the frame. Equipment: Pro-Ject debut III Turntable Garrard Zero 100 Turntable Yamaha CDC-645 CD Player compact Bluetooth receiver Marantz 2270 receiver Modified Boston T830 speakers nothing super fancy but it sounds great!

The twist is that they cost about 7-9 each. It's 46 miles from my house(not all highway) and then I gotta ship it to you. So I think $15-$17 is fair seeing as how you can get most of them online shipped to a hot topic for free. The main reason why I'm doing this is to pay for all the records I took first pick on and the fact that I'm just fucking nice(it's called southern hospitality where I'm from) so you can take what you want from it
