Bullet to Binary is so fucking good. Can't believe I've seen them 5 times in the last 10 years and never seen them play it. It's one of the songs that helped me get into "heavier" music as a teenager. That, Ebolorama by Every Time I Die, Black Cloud by Converge, and Mordecai by Between the Buried and Me all blew my mind around the same time. Mwy is definitely the outlier on that list.

According to Polyvinyl's site the Walker/Back of Dave split 7" came out 20 years ago today and was their first music release. My Polyvinyl collection started with an American Football CD in 2000, but started growing to this soon after. With the Owen/Into It. Over It. split coming out next month this picture will already be outdated, but I'm sure I'll always be buying a few things from them each year. And it also means more Airheads with my mail orders, which is nice. Note: While I included Matt Pond PA's non-Polyvinyl albums that they pressed, I left out Headlights' The Enemies EP and Owen's (the ep) since they were pressed by Mi Amante in Germany.

Really the only reason I posted this is because I agree that these are outrageously priced but there are some amazing sessions on these records. Thought it might be nice for people to be able to grab them while they are over half off. Forgot that the cool kids would descend and shit on everything. Carry on.

The "Man Advice" thread reminded me about this (note - don't go to that thread if you don't need to) This whole notion of "beard pride". I don't know how prevalent this is around the world but over the last year or so I'm seeing all the facebook shit like "A REAL MAN grows a BEARD!" or "A beard is a sign of class and dignity" or "Yes, you can touch my beard!" or, the worst - "Date a man with a beard - growing a beard takes patience - the patience needed to put up with your bullshit!" Fuck all that horrible shit. I grew a beard because I'm lazy and my girlfriend likes it. There's nothing fucking noble about it, it's just hair I keep on my face.

just because a record store doesn't want to deal with international shipping (again, this isn't amazon, its just a small east coast record store chain) doesn't mean they suck guys. I realize its a bummer, but Bullmoose is a top flight organization that does everything well. sucks they don't ship international for you folks, but sometimes these things happen.
