  1. Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a place on this forum specifically dedicated to inquiries like yours? We could call it Sale/Trade/Wants and put it right on the main page. And new users could all flip their sealed hot topic vinylz in an organized fashion without having to go through all of the work it takes to find a 9 month old thread. A guy can dream, right?

  3. 3rd album from these flesh gobbling freaks just went up earlier today, I do believe. Cool sound clip at the link that made me want to worship the devil and do bong hits galore. Various colorful vinyl options, incl wonderful witchy white wax, brutally limited to only 80 copies pressed. I think I just came on my own face. Ugh. http://satyrs.bad-omen-records.com/?utm_campaign=SSFLIGHT&utm_medium=email&utm_source=MainLis Discogs: http://www.discogs.com/artist/1909871-Satans-Satyrs

  6. And this is how you correctly make a first post. Shout out to you for acknowledging the other thread being from last year and NOT posting in it asking if the record was still for sale. Bravo to you and good luck!

  13. Le Gogh, I'd like to preface this post with a few points: 1. I am drunk and will continually get drunker(?) as I type and prepare this. 2. Your name and avatar are insanely creative and I respect you for that. 3. I have a problem and am being slightly facetious. So here goes: Yes. You are all alone in not knowing. Proof: I'm what you might call a "collector"

  20. Thank you all for the support! Because you're all so rad, I'll make doing it worth it. Next Friday I'll pick someone from the thread that posted that they watched them, and that person will receive a copy of Commit This To Memory on black vinyl (I think that's what I have). Thank you again!

  21. These guys are so damn good. Picked this up without hesitation. There is just something about them that sets them apart from whatever genre you want to put them in.

  22. I hope everyone looking for it manages to get a copy. Echoing what others have said in this thread, the record is very very good. Not quite DSU good for me, but very close. It's like what Trick was to Rules. Slightly weirder and much colder in atmosphere. Kicker, Thorns, Bright Boy and Bug are easily some of his best tunes to date. Really bummed about his lack of a Boston date for his upcoming tour. I was hoping he'd come back to Cuisine En Locale.

  29. It's the film I've been producing for the past 2.5 years. Premiere was amazing. Ehdawds on here came since he's Canadian. Figured a few VCers might dig this. Gratifying when people get what you set out to do as seems to be happening.

  30. I didn't even realize this was a concept album. I hear there is a pre-gap track on the CD also.. I have to go through my stack and see if I can find it. Pretty good album so I purchased, but hope they press the first album also which I think is a bit better. Edit: The singer dude is married to Cerie from 30 Rock too. I found all of this out after a google search last week while watching an episode.

  43. I'm absolutely in favor of gun control, but I think it needs to be reasonable. I agree with stricter background checks on gun purchases. I think that people with a history of mental illness need to be ok'd by a mental health professional prior to owning a firearm. I also agree that "gunshow loopholes" are crazy. I don't think that guns should be banned, or that guns are the cause of our country's problems. I own firearms responsibly. I keep them locked in a safe when one isn't physically on my person, and no one but I knows the combination to that safe. I always assume a firearm is loaded unless I have visually and physically checked that is not, and locked the slide open. I always look for a nonviolent solution to any situation before resorting to any kind of violence, especially gun violence. I know that if you I have to pull out a weapon, it is to kill, and unless I'm prepared to do that it will never leave my holster. Even if I had to pull my gun out, I know to never let my finger inside the trigger guard unless I am firing that weapon. I've practiced with my firearms to be able to use them proficiently. My wife can learn the combo to the safe only after she agrees to learn to use them properly (she has not yet, she has no desire to ever use a firearm, but she does carry police grade mace). We don't plan to ever have children, so I don't worry about that. If other people followed the basic rules of gun safety, there would be far fewer problems. The issue becomes illegally owned firearms and people who store their firearms improperly. Personally, I always assume that everyone is carrying a gun, and in a case like the one we've described above (3 men approaching one person) more than likely I would just leave and call the police before it became an issue where I needed to use my firearm. I would feel much more comfortable if confronted with a situation that I couldn't escape if I had my firearm, though.
