  1. Just a heads up for those looking for Requiem still: The distributor is still sitting on a TON of copies of this. Meaning your local store can still order it. It's not that it was in huge demand - stores just didn't order enough. There are 5,000 copies. This is not rare. It will be popping up over the next few weeks lots of places. PSA over.

  4. I got married last month and moved into a place where I can actually have a room/office for music. This is a work in progress (still need to get a third poster framed). I've never posted my set up before, but I'm really happy with how this is turning out!

for the past 3 years, i've been trying to go. other things always seem to get in the way, but maybe this year will be the year. i gotta go for sure at some point though. it's on my birthday every year and i honestly can't think of a better way to celebrate than getting drunk and seeing some awesome bands with some awesome random vc pals down in florida.

  7. IF THESE TREES COULD TALK 'The Bones Of A Dying World' Metal Blade Records 2016 Akron, Ohio's If These Trees Could Talk will release their third full-length, The Bones of a Dying World, on June 3rd worldwide via Metal Blade Records. Featuring 9 instrumental tracks of the quintet's signature post-rock, The Bones of a Dying World can be pre-ordered in various formats at: metalblade.com/ifthesetreescouldtalk - where the first single, "Solstice", is also streaming. Formed in 2005, If These Trees Could Talk has grown tremendously since their humble origins in drummer Zack Kelly's basement as an instrumental project in college. After self-releasing their If These Trees Could Talk EP (2006) and two full-lengths, Above the Earth, Below the Sky (2009) and Red Forest (2012), the group garnered buzz from the global music community, and consequently sold out a three-week European tour in 2012. Music from the band's catalog has also been heard in Sony PS3 titles, and on NBC, MTV, VH1, the NFL, in videos for Vans, and for projects on the Sundance Film Festival. Cumulatively, If These Trees Could Talk has sold over 20,000 copies for their efforts, with 3,000 on vinyl alone across all of their albums. Their upcoming third full-length, The Bones of a Dying World, promises to be another landmark achievement in the band's career. "We feel this album 'steps up the sound' in a way that could only come after 'Red Forest' and not before," Mike Socrates (guitar) comments. "The songs were constructed in a much more deliberate and cautious approach. A lot of time was spent on small parts and transitions in order to maximize the full effect of the song as a whole. In a way, we feel like this is the perfect continuation from 'Red Forest'." Recorded over the past year at NE Meadow Studios in Akron, OH, The Bones of a Dying World was once again produced and engineered by the band's own Zack Kelly (drums). Mixing duties were handled by Zack Kelly and Freddie DeMarco while the final master was completed by Alan Douches at West West Side Music. For the album artwork, If These Trees Could Talk called upon long-time designer Charlie Wagers, who worked with the band on their past two releases. After four years of fine-tuning these audio and visual components, the quintet is now ready to unleash their Metal Blade Records debut this summer. FULL ALBUM STREAMING HERE Tracklist: 01. 14. In case anyone missed it, it's been confirmed that an "HD-upgraded" Arkham Asylum and Arkham City will be coming out in June as a 2-pack with all DLC included. I already own and have beaten both games for the 360, but if it ends up being around $40, I'll be more than happy to pick them up and play them again. Some of my favorite games of all-time. Also, I know it wasn't technically made by the same company, but I wish they included Arkham Origins with it as well.

  15. I doubt they see THAT much from the vinyl sales. Besides, they're gonna sell way more copies way faster if they keep it out of print for periods of time and let the demand build.

  19. I know - and I'm linking them up here quick too. Best bet is to just refresh their RSD page (newest to oldest) and be logged in. But they randomly put stuff up throughout the day, so unless you have literally nothing to do - it's tough.

  28. I called them out on this in my response. I was able to order a limited copy (1000) of the Dustin Kensrue live album with media mail shipping, however a retail black variant of the new Saosin record is $11.xx via Priority Mail. So they're full of it.

  29. I've been in Hot Topic maybe 4 times in the last 5 years. Every time there's been like a dozen copies of the same A7X album and even more of the same Korn album. Simply a statement of facts. If you want me to add commentary: they suck.

  30. Dashboard, Emanuel, Vangrant-era Alkaline Trio. Vagrant should press some fuckin' money real quick.

  33. The Carbon was my first table (a great one) but most people getting into vinyl & reading Pitchfork have lower budgets when they're first getting into it. It's not unfathomable to see it as their "basic" recommendation. At least they didn't reccomend a crosley lol

  37. Every other release Ross does has 24 tests, I know you'll find one that doesn't but the vast majority do. Does it give you sexual pleasure doing this all the time? There's literally no other reason.
    1 point
  38. I agree with the test presses. Just put em up on your online store for a reasonable price (like what Doghouse does) instead of on Ebay where you know prices can go into the hundreds. A test press for Upsides Deluxe 2xLP went for $295 recently on Ebay even though it started at 99cents. I'm pretty sure the dude from No Sleep knew it would go that high and that's why it went on Ebay. There are also 21 of these test presses.

  39. Well if they know there's gonna be a delay they should wait until they have them in hand to put up the order or wait until shipping to charge. Not sure how I'm entitled to want things when they said we should get them, not once but once but 2 more times.
    1 point
  40. Still haven't gotten anything on my order yet, but I feel after this long a wait they should give anyone that ordered before the original estimated date like a 30% off coupon or something along that line.

  41. labels need to start taking a little more time to make sure things are secured prior to dropping their shipments off at the post office. Also ship record(s) outside of the jacket will avoid a lot of complaints, and damage claims.

  42. i paid the small shipping fee, like 9 Eu and it ended up being sent through fedEx anyway so when you go past the first option, be ready for anything.
