Just got back into vinyl a couple of months ago after 30 year absence. Finally got fed up with the compressed sound of digital, so on the advice of my son, I rediscovered the joy of LPs once again. Could not be happier. System is: Uturn Orbit with acrylic platter, Tannoy System 800 speakers with a Yamaha RX-V377 amp.

So last night was different. Had coffee with a friend of mine who's a terrific artist and I ended up at his place at 3am getting my first tattoo. And my second. It hurt.

I've figured from the beginning that Novu wouldn't get KH or MGS. Those are MASSIVE licenses and they're an unknown company. Even Firewatch is going to be a stretch for them when there are companies out there like iam8bit doing it so well. I'm currently in the late stages of sorting things for my first release. It's a game that has been mentioned in here before (or maybe the old thread), so I'm hoping y'all are going to be into it. Then the second release is going to be HUGE, but I've managed to secure a big name to work on the artwork and he's really busy at he moment, so it might take a little while. EDIT: I also doubt Novu will do Mirror's Edge, for reasons that I can't really go into.

My Gillman variant from Norman records came in today. Although I'm normally not one to collect multiple variants of records, I couldn't help myself with the Monster Squad 7"s. I love this movie too much. The complete set looks great together!

Classic. Would consider watching... that's about a 6.4/10 for me.

Got one locally today. Sounds great. Bare bones, no insert or download. They could've used the opportunity to do a bootleg style package since it's not an album, but it has a big ol' parental advisory logo on the cover so it kinda kills that.

Fingers crossed for deluxe artwork.

I feel the heaviness behind this album, yeah it's not literal heaviness with screaming but it's definitely heavy to my ears. I enjoy this better than their last two and probably better than most of Alchemy. However, just to break the mold, I would have loved one really heavy heavy song to close it out.

Wow, lucky! I have the original black and the clear. None of the Lost Highway pressings sound particularly good, but they are both about the same to my ears.

I had a chat with Novu Records (the guys who talked about releasing MGS1 and Kingdom Hearts 1,2 on vinyl) and interestingly they mentioned that they would like to release the Firewatch Soundtrack in the future if they can work something out with the composer. If it does happen, it probably won’t be their first release, which could end up being Mirror’s Edge 1 since they sent out surveys asking about it.

Sell off the splats for the deluxes. Sound quality is better.
