  1. Melted down and made into a bowl for my ashes. Hopefully gonna end up a HT-style splatter.

  2. Our floors bathrooms are closed for painting today...which subtracts two bowls for bowels and two urinals. I added up all the males in this building and it came down to around roughly 70. i now have to mentally prepare myself to be a 'pro' if you will, because chances are; there will be someone there. I must take advantage of having this spot and take care of business...very similar to throwing a no-hitter or kicking the winning field goal. I dubbed today "4 cans for 70 asses" it's disgusting. The scene can be described like a waiting room in a birth center. Lots of men nervously pacing and waiting.

  5. I hope I'll stop caring about records way before that, get rid of them, and use those funds for something more meaningful.

  6. One thing I love about this site is seeing people talking crap about bands that other people on here like and then checking out the link to the shit-talker's collection to see what stuff they're into.

  10. Gonna be some lit pop punk and soundtrack collections showing up in thrift stores in a few decades. I honestly don't care what happens to my collection. I'm never having children so there's no one to pass them down to and my girlfriend doesn't give a shit. I told my girlfriend to either sell them or throw them away. Maybe put up a YouTube video of her smashing EITS - How Strange, Innocence if anyone still cares about it by then.

  11. Also this makes no fucking sense, he needs space for his girlfriend to move in so hes selling 6 records? How much room does selling 6 records open up? 6 inches? Is she a troll?

Finally got around to watching Holidays. I'd say Father's Day + Christmas were my favorites. I thought Kevin Smith's Halloween short was a let down.

  21. I'm with you on this. However, it's a pretty likely scenario that if I die at an old age, then either A. I'll be too old to be able to do the physically intensive aspects of listening to records (reading the spines, setting the needle down gently, packing and hauling them while moving) or B. the huge size and impracticality of my collection will lead my future children or caretakers to convince me to ditch this enormous, heavy thing. I'm fine with that. To those who think your interest in having a record collection will taper off eventually, I'd recommend selling them now. You'll get more money and you can invest it in something that will have more lasting value to you. I'm a stubborn idiot who takes comfort in the familiar with and hates change, so I'm all in on dying with a stupid record collection.

  22. I hope I don't stop caring about records because that will mean I probably stopped caring about music, which would make life less meaningful. Anyway, no heirs for us, so I'll probably leave the wife instructions on how to sell off the ones she doesn't want to keep or the rest can be buried with me for all I care.

  23. What is the biggest drama of a record collector? When his wife is selling the records for the price he told her he paid for them. If my wife will sell my test presses for few dollars I will die in hell.

  24. I suppose that makes sense if they are guilty of murder by obsessive vinyl collecting. In that case, any of them that you purchased from a flipper on eBay or Discogs should probably get the chair.

  38. Repress is back on..... ‪#‎TBT‬ - In 2012, a few months after releasing Northlane’s debut album ‪#‎Discoveries‬, we released the album on vinyl for the first time. As always, the guys in the band wanted to do something extra special for fans, so we created only 300 copies, each hand-numbered. We also made a different cover for the vinyl than the CD / Digital version. 150 copies were on special “Nebula” vinyl, which was 5 colours all mixed together to reflect the nebula on the cover of the record. Getting the mix of colours was tough, so we got 3 unique test presses to choose different methods for getting those colours right. Of those three, one of them inexplicably had a Hopesfall album pressed onto it - which meant there is only 2 that are actual test presses. Once we got that colour right the 150 nebula vinyl sold out in less than 10 minutes, and today it's one of the rarest and most sought after UNFD vinyl pieces (along with the super limited red vinyl of Youngbloods, of which there is only 100 made). Ebay purchases of the record have seen it generate 4 figures pretty regularly. While we’re stoked for everyone that has a copy of this amazing piece of UNFD history - we want to make sure that people can still get a copy of “Discoveries” on vinyl. So later this year we will be releasing a second pressing of this iconic record on 12” vinyl. There won’t be any hand numbering on this one, but it wouldn’t be a Northlane release without some special colours. We can’t wait for people to hear the album on vinyl as it sounds superb. Stay tuned for more info!
