  2. So I'm back to this topic, two years later--and this time there was a BOGO sale! 2-pack coming November 2017...

  4. LOL you can power a city block off of brent's sass, and I love it. Team Broken Circles for life.

  5. I think they way they described it: There is a 2 hour premiere on Sunday, the following Sunday is also 2 hours (broken down parts 1/2 and then 3/4). Immediately after (this Sunday), you should be able to stream the premiere episodes (1/2) and the following weeks episodes (3/4). The total number of episodes is not technically 18, but instead they are calling it 18 hours. The first two weeks are 4 hours total, and then it will be 1 hour episodes up until the finale, which will also run 2 hours on September 3rd. Does that make sense, did I explain it okay?

  6. I feel like I'm in the severe minority here but, for me, Plastic Beach is their best album.

  10. Hey friends. It's been a bit. I finally saw Mono last night and thought you all would appreciate. It was an amazing show in a tiny venue with a light quiet crowd. It was perfect.

  11. I have never made a single public facing post announcing this ACB release and claiming a release date at all, simply to avoid little entitled fuckheads like you crying because they can't order a record that doesn't exist yet. I would love for you to show everyone a Broken Circles social media post that has an exact release date and isn't a reply to someone. I know that task is impossible for you. The band posted that it was happening on Facebook before they had any information other than it was happening. That post has caused more problems than it has helped. If they hadn't made it, you wouldn't know it was coming out, and you wouldn't have anything to bitch about. I can't wait to show you what being an ass really entails after I refund your order when it finally gets put up for sale. I used to like posting on this message board. There was an actual community of people that valued the music first and foremost. People actually supported the labels and the bands instead of treating them like some evil entity that's out to fuck them over and take their money. I think if some of you knew and understood the amount of effort it takes to press vinyl and run a label, you'd stop running your pathetic little mouths every time something didn't line up exactly to whatever overinflated expectation you happened to have at that moment. And if your response is some "customer is always right" bullshit, you might as well not even hit reply. Shout to the chill OGs like Daegor and billya who are still holding it down on here.

  12. Descender ruuuuules. I like Lemire's stuff but I've still never gotten around to Sweet Tooth (I know, shame, shame).

  13. CAN YOU TAKE THIS POST AWAY
    1 point
  14. For sure. I glanced around on there for the first time in a while the other day and the only acceptably priced record I saw was the most recent TBS album. I don't think they realized it's a double LP since it's priced the same as most of the other $22+ single LP releases.

  15. I can totally do that for you.

  20. Pre-orders started at 12pm Eastern Time. Ultra Clear version limited to 200, sold out less than 2 hours. I was refreshing this site multiple times/day since early May, when they dropped the first single. Glad I copped an ultra clear. Too bad the FREE tshirt available for sale is plain and not appealing. Wish it had a live band shot, which I would have gotten one of those as well. As for the demo, keep an eye on Discogs...those were available for quite a long time on various sites like Triple B or Moshers Delight...but appear to be all gone now. Or maybe just email the band and ask them.

  21. Thanks, just looked it up. It's so cool when inane laws get in the way of people being able to enjoy something simple. This part is interesting in regard to the vinyl game--RIP to ever getting anything cool autographed in California: (6) “Limited edition” means any collectible that meets all of the following requirements: (A) A company has produced a specific quantity of a collectible and placed it on the open market. (B) The producer of the collectible has posted a notice, at its primary place of business, that it will provide any consumer, upon request, with a copy of a notice that states the exact number of a collectible produced in that series of limited editions. (C) The producer makes available, upon request of a consumer, evidence that the electronic encoding, films, molds, or plates used to create the collectible have been destroyed after the specified number of collectibles have been produced. (D) The sequence number of the collectible and the number of the total quantity produced in the limited edition are printed on the collectible.

  23. I ordered 6 RSD items from them and they had them all in stock. It took around 2 weeks for them to ship my order though. Shipping is very affordable but I have had some issues with them in the past because they use a very flimsy mailer. The box is so weak that the corners get damaged very easily and the box is very easy to rip apart (even by hand). They once shipped 10 LPs to me using this mailer and it got DESTROYED in the mail. The corners were all dented, some creased beyond belief and there were so many seamsplits. I let them know and they said they would send replacement sleeves. I requested that they use a stronger mailer, but that fell on deaf ears. When the package arrived, they only sent the outer sleeves and in the same weak package, so of course those empty replacement outer sleeves got damaged in the mail too. Their solution to this was shocking: "Since this has been a problem earlier when shipping to your address, we can no longer send orders to your address due to the amount of damaged items." Basically, they blamed the postal service, when the real problem was their flimsy mailer and packaging. I took a chance and ordered again from them because their RSD selection was so vast. This time they used the same cheap mailer but reinforced the package with 2 shipping bands on the outside which seemed to be better, but maybe I just got lucky. One item still arrived damaged, so just be aware that their packaging is really bad and customer service even worse!

  34. Still doesn't have anything to do with the guy who orders the product. Keep in mind that for the majority of Travis' reign stores were still stocking records so there was probably more urgency to get records in store and online for their street date (or "street date" in the case of these reissues).

  38. It reminds me of when I was in college like 10 years ago and a professor explained white privilege and like 20 dudes angrily raised their hands and were like "I'm white and my mom died of cancer and we were poor, so white privilege doesn't exist!"

  39. Because one person in a queer band assaulted someone? C'mon dude. That is fucking ridiculous. If you're so offended by queer bands "insincerity" of being queer then you may have to take a step back and reconsider their motives. Why is it a gimmick? I'm guessing LGBTQ people need "LGBTQ time" just like a dude needs "Bro Time", and bands vocalizing their queerness helps people who identify similarly find others who they can hopefully feel comfortable around. I honestly can't see any negatives of a band promoting their queerness, 24/7 if they want to. Remember, this band is shitty because they are shitty people and abusers. This fact exists completely independently from them being queer.
