Also the show ended around 11:15 and reports said that they found him around midnight. So that is a pretty small window for her to get that worried if there were no signs of something being wrong. Just, just fuck everything. I usually don't get so worked up over deaths in the music industry, due to what people go through in the industry it's unfortunately expected, but this, no. This is so unexpected. His was so young, and this was so sudden. Man, I don't even know how to interpret this. Badmotorfinger is in my top 10 favorite albums of all time, and absolutely love everything Chris touched. This is a rough one. Thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.

I'm honestly surprised it took this long for the NIN camp to realize that Firebrand are shit. I mean, c'mon...it all started with the debacle over the immediate downloads for any orders placed w/ not only the reissues but also NTAE release. I emailed them multiple times requesting the downloads and nothing happened for well over two weeks. Thankfully a few kind VCers hooked me up as they got lucky and got their downloads. The thread about this over at ETS is hilarious. Those folks are even more pissed at Firebrand than we are here in VC.

The best we can hope for a Puddle of Mudd thread is a discussion about Coheed that stays positive and doesn't end in a lock and praise for Thursday. I can't imagine a better use.

One show is better than no shows

I agree with your message more than you care to know. I disagree with your tone and the time and place. That tone isn't going to open any hearts and minds to the message. Chris Cornell's music meant so much to so many people in so many different ways. I'm usually not an emotional person when it comes to death, but as I ponder what his music has meant to me, I can't help but mourn his passing with a heavy heart. His voice and songwriting skills were truly special and will continue to inspire, support, and uplift me for the rest of my life.

I was at the show last night, and I'm totally fucking crushed by this. he seemed to be in a great mood, very talkative and interacting with the crowd. a truly great performance. Such a sad day...

Trying to slowly get rid of things I don't think I'll listen to. Figure I'd throw them up here before discogs. I'm the original owner on all of them. US buys only please. Gorillaz - The Fall - #4817 Sleeve has some light ring wear and normal shelf wear, one very mild corner bump. It has a ~2.5 inch seam split on the spine, was that way when I bought it new. Printed inner sleeve has the same split, but is in good shape past that. LP looks fantastic and has been listened to 3-4 times. Gave it a listen before posting and it played through great. Thrice - Beggars - Third Press - Clear with Blue Splatter - /500 Opened and still in shrink, but unplayed. Bought it to keep my collection up to date, but never got around to listening to it. I don't see any seam splits or obvious damage to the sleeve. Thrice - Major/Minor - First Press - Clear with Blue Splatter - /4000 Light ring wear along the bottom edge of both front and back cover. No seam splits, a few very minor corner bumps. One of the printed inner sleeves has a split in it. Noticed a pop between tracks on the C side, LPs play great past that. Thrice - Anthology - First Press - 2xLP on 180 black, 2xLP on 180 gram white - 0025/3000 Box is in excellent shape. No wear that I could see and the corners are good as well. Inner sleeves and booklet are in excellent condition. LPs have been listened too and played without issue if I'm remembering correctly. They all look quite nice and only a few had minor marks. Download code hasn't been used, but it's hard to say if it's still valid. So I had preordered all of the Rugrats, Ahh! Real Monsters and Catdogs pops from my local GameStop since I'm friends with a couple of the guys and figured they would help me out with chases. They all came in today except Oblina from Monsters. I got both fucking Rugrats chases!!! Only downside is they didn't get a common Reptar so I still have to hunt him down. So fucking hyped that I got the chases though. I don't usually care too much as long as I get the characters I want, but I really wanted these chases.

I understand completely. It really is a struggle to discuss things like this when people don't understand it or dwarf the problem by not being fully educated on it. I really am sad about this one and I am usually not one to get upset at the passing of musicians but I guess he was more integral to my musical development and tastes than others who've passed recently and to think there will never be more Soundgarden, really hurts. Moreover, I felt like he had a similar outlook to mine on a lot of big issues and learning that about him gave me a real sense of kinship and made me feel more connected to particular songs and to him as well. I was looking forward to his future expressions on topics like the aforementioned.

Got it. It just came off that way and many people do have that mindset. I don't want to get away from the fact that the world lost an amazing artist and the way he apparently left us is heartbreaking.

So many obvious songs that we all know well that I could post to celebrate his legacy , but instead I wanted to share a live performance that I didn't know existed until a friend shared it with me earlier.

I don't need you to tell me to take it easy, man. People need to understand that real depression goes deep to the core of anyone suffering from it. Too many people still think it's someone being dramatic or just overly sad. Many times friends and family don't know what's going on underneath the surface. I want people to understand that and to help others get the resources they need to cope and to be a little more empathetic.

Green Bay is the closest to me and they only have the one showing. Booooooo.
