  5. This forum is made up of useless fat ugly cringelords my man, trust me even if by some miracle they were accepting of new people/music they still would not be worth having as fans. Unless you want to flip vinyl, or shit on new users to boost self confidence, this place isn't for you.

  8. It scared the shit out of me at first, I thought there was some weird residue on the sleeve from shipping. But I agree they actually did a great job on the pressing and packaging

  10. Not until we get the "choose-your-own-color" The Downward Spiral, the "broken" Broken EP that requires the "fixed" adapter, and the "only-plays-once" reissue of The Fragile that is only sold as a bundle with tickets to a show in LA.

  12. why don't you tell us how you really feel? haha. we knew the box set wouldn't be for everyone, which is why we created less than 300 and have the standard edition for $24.98. the box set is for dorks like me who want something extra from one of their favorite films. we worked hard on creating fun items that are all directly related to the script.. including a few that i think/hope (?) fans will get actual use out of or at least really appreciate the attention to detail on. that aside, a 5 piece set of enamel pins, getting one of the actors on board, paying artists, housing everything inside a custom gold foil box.. it was the most expensive project I've ever worked on, including my other label that is on cat #62 this year. to each their own, we appreciate you picking up the standard edition!

  15. Oh word? Well damn, one of the two people who liked this reply legally can't vote/buy cigarettes/porn/spray paint/keyboard cleaner/cough syrup/m-rated video games/etc. Curious to hear what Jr.'s feelings regarding war subsidation are, given he'll be drafted long before you or I would be.

  16. We added a "Dick Ritchie" signed 8x10 as well, autographed by Michael Rapaport. A lot of our expense on this project came from the packaging itself... we could have skimped out (and almost did after tallying up our expenses!) but decided to go all out with a high end gold foil box. Not only does it hold everything nicely, but it looks classy on a record shelf. And the cover art looks a million times better in person than the tiny jpegs, plus the gatefold spread is even better! I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

  18. Sorry we don't all have a layer of grease to preserve our natural beauty. The fat thing is funny though I was just having a discussion the other day about how anyone looking for a shirt on here is a L-XXL 90% of the time.

  19. I'm loving this. Thanks for posting it! I saw Mono last night and Subrosa opened. Excellent as always. On the way in the venue was giving out free tickets for a couple shows, so I'm seeing Pallbearer on Monday and Big Business next month.

  20. It's time for the ultimate debate: Hot Sandwiches Vs. Cold Sanwiches You have to give up one forever. Which do you keep? (Just to muddy the waters, hamburgers are considered hot sandwiches and PB&Js are considered cold sandwiches. Burritos are not sandwiches. Hot dogs are not burritos or sandwiches.)

  28. Nope, not a fan of this sound personally. At least not on those two tracks. Something tells me I won't like this album. Wasn't a fan of Wishful Thinking, but I love the EPs and LNOTGY. I do feel like Jeremy McKinnon's production on LNOTGY is a big reason why I enjoy that album though. Oh well. I guess I'll settle with the fact that WSTR's album is the follow-up that I wanted to LNOTGY (ok, I'm tired of acronyms now).

  29. Listened to both songs yesterday and nothing really stood out to me as "I must buy this now". Maybe I'm just growing out of enjoying this sound but both songs just felt bland and generic pop-punk to me, heavy on the pop. Hopefully the full album proves me wrong.

  30. That's not how drafts work. The state doesn't care if you're pro-war or anti-war. You either go fight or get thrown in a military prison, which is probably worse than dying in a ditch in the middle east. Are your peers voluntarily signing up for the military after school? I'm genuinely curious.

  32. Yeah, I get up for work at 5 am on weekdays, so as MUCH as I would have liked to watch 3+4, I really don't need to be up until 1 am on Monday morning. There was so much going on, and in the long run, most of which I believe will lead to payoff. I am so happy for this. I see A LOT of complaining online, because I honestly think people expected a rehashing of the original series. I feel this was much more in line with FWWM, in a big way. Which is great, because I love that flick.

  33. Sorry I didn't come in here to explicitly condemn mass murder? I'd be against this shit if Hilary were in charge as well...because it would have happened...just without Trump's family profiting. I just don't feel the need to come in here to say "This is bad" just to have Waxx post a gif of Trump looking smug or some shit. Also, someone using "no no words" is something that anyone can address...so that's why you see more of it. The fuck am I gonna do about a $100billion arms deal?

  34. Think this will be a compilation of non LP tracks, B-sides and rarities cannot confirm or deny this though. I'm just praying to high heaven that a full version of "Splitting Our Collection" is on there if I'm right.

  37. The sound on this is super vibrant, clean and powerful. Its a great recording and this press does it justice. It has the quality of being on vinyl from an album that you've only ever heard on CD. Definitely a new perspective for the listening experience. I recommend it especially if you can grab it under $30 shipped. MOV almost never fucks up. They killed it on this one.

  43. This topic is giving me such a woody. I collected fiercely in the 1990s, in retrospect the best time possible since everybody was dumping LPs. I'd spend $100 or $200 at Jerry's in Pittsburgh or the various stores in Chicago, DC, the East Village, Vancouver, London, San Francisco ... and I'd come away with more LPs than I could carry. Sometimes I had to find a UPS drop-off before I got back on a plane. (There were no UPS Stores back then.) The first of two kids arrived in 1999 and they took most of my time, so I've barely bought any vinyl in the last 15 years. But for her 17th birthday last year the older one got an RP-1 she can take to college ("university" for those outside the US), along with 50 or 60 duplicates from my stash. Seriously, nobody should leave home without Blood on the Tracks and Astral Weeks (green label, natch) at the very least. I've bought a few things here and there when I find nice stuff for less than $25 or even less than $20 per disk. (Seriously? $25 for a single LP? WTH?!) I'm lucky enough to work from home, and we have a semi-finished attic, so the first shot is the view from my desk, and once or twice a day I climb into the chair to listen to one side as a break. Rock and pop is on the left; jazz, blues, and a small batch of classical live on the right. We old guys have a lot of the gems, like the original Art Pepper on the rack to the left above the 'table. Warms my heart that so many youngsters are keeping vinyl alive. https://imgur.com/08cq7ZW https://imgur.com/SCXQ6Kj https://imgur.com/VmTbgSk By the way, the plural of vinyl is "vinyl." You no more pick up "vinyl" (with an s) than you pick up "fishes" at the market for dinner. Stop me gnashing my teeth. Please. Be good, kids. Enjoy what you've got. These are good times for music, if for little else. If anybody cares: VPI Aries I with Lyra Helikon cartridge, Rowland Capri preamp, Rowland 102 amp (for summer), Mac Mini file server with Schiit Modi Multibit DAC and two hard drives (one a mirror of the other, backed up every day at 4AM), Quicksilver Audio Silver Sixty mono amps with stock EL-34s (for the cool months), Scansonic 2.5 speakers, Sunfire sub, DIY DH Labs cabling throughout. CDs in the background are all ripped to the server now, along with about 2000 live shows by various groups, especially the Grateful Dead. Anybody want the little silver disks?
