  1. You can keep a copy, you don't have to keep buying and selling it.

  2. From Superior's email just now: We are excited to finally release John Frusciante's solo debut, Niandra LaDes And Usually Just A T-Shirt. This album is a personal favorite of ours, so it is truly an honor to present its first-time vinyl release. Shipping this week, the black vinyl standard version – includes double LP, gatefold jacket and printed inner sleeves. We threw in a lil something extra for those who pre-ordered from our web site (while supplies last). Sorry, the deluxe version sold out right away and was strictly limited. For those who bought the deluxe edition, we should start shipping those in a week or two. Thanks for your patience. You won't be disappointed.

  5. hello friends ! I am stoked to announce that the Mihai Edrsich Un Jour Sans Lendemain LP is repressed and available again ! 500 copies pressed on colored vinyl, comes with a 12 pages booklet with an interview of the band members from 2017, pictures and lyrics, reproductions of flyers and a DL code. A true labor of love ! Repressed for the first time of their full length released on Purepainsugar in 2005… For those who are not familiar with the band, Mihai Edrisch was like a comet in the sky… shortlived but full of light. Active in the early 2000s, in a time when bands like Amanda Woodward, Daïtro, Belle Epoque, Gantz, Hyacinth, Sed Non Satiata & co were releasing records and touring, Mihai Edrisch as well had that (what is trademarked now as) ‘french screamo’ touch but they pushed the intensity, complexity and depth further than their peers. Driven by emotional high-ends guitars, heavy drums, aerial bass lines and desperate vocals, that album is a true masterpiece for the genre and it was time to bring it under the light once again. Featuring members of Celeste, Daïtro, Baton Rouge, Lost Boys, Pinku Saido & more You can listen to it HEEEEERE and order it THEEEEERE for 18€ post paid in Europe, 20€ post paid for the rest of the world.

  8. That list is pretty underwhelming in my opinion. I hope more is on the official list. If not, it'd be my first time in a long time I wouldn't have to pick up any RSD BF exclusives.

  10. If that list is accurate and at first glance, this will be my first black Friday in years that I won't be going to a record store!

  15. I got the BAM Iron Giant Exclusive as a gift. My copy has black specks in the wax (from the plant). Whenever my stylus goes over the black spots it get a bit static-sounding. However, I'm fairly certain most copies aren't like this. It's not that big of a defect and the rest of it sound great. I love it.

  16. Sounds like this is mastered for vinyl from the original digital files. It was never recorded to tape, so that's the best we can hope for. Damien mentioned that it's taken so long because of past issues with test pressings, so it sounds like the quality control is going to be there. I'm ready to pay any price for this one.

  17. Went to see him in Brooklyn last night and it was very good. First set was the new album and then second was a large sampling of stuff from throughout his career. Just him and an acoustic, piano and harmonica. Really cool opportunity to see him in a small setting.

  20. Funny enough Gumbo & I never even discussed Mumrunner at Dunk haha. But yeah I've been very high on them since earlier this year. I actually stumbled across them listening to a random Spotify generated playlist. One song is all it took to hook me. Gumbo, you're probably gonna be pissed to learn Gentle Slopes was available in the bins Dunk brought along at the fest. Woulda snagged myself if I didn't already have it. But you gotta listen to their first EP, Full Blossom. Even better than GS imo. But as Don said both EPs should still be available for cheap online. Even with overseas shipping I think I got both <$30 total.

    THE FEST 16

If it's your first fest, my advice is: - pace yourself! It's a marathon, not a race. - take plenty of water/ food/ rest breaks. - diddley will never cap out, but a lot of the smaller venues will (esp high dive, Atlantic, wooly, Loosey's) and double especially for secret sets. Get there early if it's a must-see. - be flexible. Your plans will change and you won't wind up seeing every band you want to. - eat tacos at flacco's and a gator burrito at Boca. Also hit up the hot dog cart. - if you buy a lot of merch, take advantage of the bag check uhaul at high dive. They let you check it for the day and you can add more stuff to it later. - if you're not staying at either of the official hotels, still try to hit up a pool party/after party/beer purge at one (warning: you can party out front of the HI, but can't go inside if not a guest. Wyndham, you can). - Use the Fest app if you aren't already. Keep an eye out for schedule changes. - hug people and make friends. - If you don't go to one of the 88 Fingers Louie sets, you're fucking up
