Not paying that for white vinyl

Jon Hopkins has announced the details for his first album in five years, Singularity. In addition to the new album, he has unveiled the first single from the album titled “Emerald Rush.” The nine-track album will be released on May 4 via Domino Records. It is his first artist album since 2013’s Immunity, though he did mix a beautiful Late Night Tales compilation in 2015. According to a press release, Singularity, "flows seamlessly from rugged techno to transcendent choral music, from solo acoustic piano to psychedelic ambient. Its epic musical palette is visceral and emotionally honest: with a destructive opener full of industrial electronics and sonic claustrophobia and a redemptive, pure end on solo piano." It is meant to be consumed in one sitting. Jon Hopkins teased at the end of February that there would be music coming in 2018 with a stunning preview video. Now he is delivering on that promise. “Emerald Rush” comes with an accompanying animated video as well, which you can view below, though make sure you head to a streaming service or digital portal to pick up the long version.

Been checking my tracking on the VC mystery variant occasionally throughout the last week. As of yesterday it was still "pre shipment" just checked and it's out for delivery...good job USPS tracking system! Pretty stoked though

Nothing to do with vinyl I just remember the tempos being ridiculously off for the majority of the songs. Not just Zach off beat but they ebb and flow like a vinyl record spinning on a table that can't keep a consistent speed. With the strobe all bouncing around and shit. I'll listen to it again since I haven't in 10 years but that's all I remember about it.

Yeah its the album that initially turned me on to the Sundays. A bit more raw, less polished, but the songs are sooooo catchy

Was the reason I bailed on the boxset as it wasn't exactly complete for me and the other songs I could miss on really. On the bright side @FiggyPud, you'll have the most complete LiS OST experience possible by having both the boxset and the Daughter OST.

TFIWKUH is also the favorite LP of the band members, I learned recently. I can't get past the Albini production, but apparently that's their favorite part. Haha
