I listened to it once through the other day. I thought it was more of the same, maybe a step down from IV, but still extremely engaging and worthy of standing up to earlier material. I'm surprised you don't like IV! In the back of my mind I always pegged you and I as having very similar tastes, but I think IV is probably their best, along with II.

Rhymesayers puts out probably the most consistently good picture discs. I don’t think twice about buying theirs.

I saw him right around the time Community season 2 started. Been following him since Derrick Comedy (I consider any of his music after Culdesac to be his "newer stuff" also I'm realizing this thread is old af and I'm most likely repeating myself). I was super stoked, then Hannibal Buress opened for him and blew him out of the water. Like...it wasn't even close. BUT he was still really funny, not sure why it didn't work as well in his "Weirdo" special...it was basically the same material. I think he was trying too hard for the taping. I guess what I'm trying to say is Hannibal Buress should have played Lando.

I generally don't buy pic discs cuz of the inherently bad sound reproduction, but occasionally you have no choice as is the case of Tool Lateralus. Which actually doesn't sound so bad. I also own the Beavis and Butthead pic discs. They're both pressed by the same manufacturer but they don't sound the same. One is decent and the other sounds like shit. You really can't bet on them...

Yep, that's what I'll be doing from now on. And really, it's what I've done 99.9% of the time up to now anyway. You just occasionally see that one picture disc that calls your name and can't stop yourself from buying a shitty piece of vinyl.

Saw Omik’s avatar on the main page. Knew it was probably from the Post-VC thread Knew it probably pertained to Talons. Was not disappointed. New track is tight. The strings they had on New Topographics are sublime. That second track - Reverie? - gets me every time. Such a major step up from Hollow, in my opinion. I actually may do the Holy Roar sub for a bit because that exclusive looks like a beaut.

I mean...maybe? I haven't watched the season 4 remix yet, but season 4 was...something... I actually have nothing against him as a person, but I genuinely dislike most of the films he's directed. Also, I finally watched the new Gambino video and it's ok.

No, I've heard some of Camp and all of BTI and I think he really should stick to comedy (love him in Community)
