Many possible explanations with the NB/Whirr vs. fan base side show. I think it was an intentional suicide. He knew exactly what he was doing and chose that way to go out, for whatever reason. He saw the talent in Brandon/Nicky and gave Nothing the necessary exposure while Whirr was peaking, and helped jump start that project (back on topic). (Off topic)I don't know if he and Lexy are still a thing, but there's Camera Shy. Kristina (King Woman, Miserable, formerly with Whirr for a short time) cites his song writing approach and work ethic as a major influence. NB is an extremely talented, creative... enigma or fill in the blank with your preferred expletive.

Well actually half the records (and all the CDs) were bought in Hawaii. In true record nerd style, I packed a couple of mailers in my luggage and brought them back home in a second carry-on.

Ok he did a stupid thing like millions of people do everyday on the net and the shit came back to him like a tornado, so he payed an high price. I'm no insider or expert BUT the SS/T&N catalog is owned by a major label now, so these low number pressings are probably all there is going to be because of the licensing fees and shit. I wouldn't recommend sleeping on it. Remember that Mewithoutyou - Catch for Us the Foxes repress that fell apart the day it was supposed to go up and then never happened?

I dig ye. Bold move to keep it at 23 minutes but with Kids See Ghosts coming next week and also being 7 tracks, it's as if we got a 14 track album with half having Cudi features. Love that No Mistakes went back to the Graduation vibes. I have a feeling that KSG will blow ye out the water.

i like the album quite a bit but the latter half of the record is definitely more on the mellow side. to me, the first two songs that were released and all the music used in the promo videos were a pretty good indicator of the direction this record was headed.

Got the standard press yesterday. I will say, I was kind of less excited with all the push backs, but after seeing the packaging in person - the familiarity of the artwork - but also the quality of the jacket (thick/matte) I was happy to finally own it. And then the printed inner sleeves, with artwork from the live at union chapel CD was a nice touch. And as people have been saying, it sounds great. I don't know if 180 gram or not, and if that's common knowledge then whoops, but it feels hefty as well.

I love the internet, their last album Ego Death was really good and didn’t get attention it warranted. They put on one of the best live shows of 2017 That I attended. However $30 and I haven’t even looked at what shipping is yet. I’m going to have to think about this one..

Why are you talking about him like he's not here? Has anyone been listening to the new Toundra? Any opinions out there? I like it, don't like IV very much (I've tried to like it), so I am happy about this one. For full disclosure, I is my favorite by far.
